High population counties mean big cities. Big city means Dem voters.

This is bad for the GOP. Beto may win after all...

Collin and Denton counties aren't dem, along with the umpteen smaller counties in Texas.

I'd worry more about the polls however. In political polling, especially, there is a tendency to over-correct (or rather overweight certain demos) after getting things so wrong the previous cycle. This is not unique to Texas of course. Plus there seems to be a higher minority/younger turnout which is harder to capture in the polls, in a representative fashion anyway.

Smart pollsters know this, but the demands on timing and news releases usually throw a wrench in their accuracy.

All Trump voters are voting in the midterms!

Trump voter here. I'm conflicted. I'm voting in the midterms, but not for TX Senate. I think Cruz is disgusting and Beto full of shite. I'm voting straight R for judges. Not voting for either of those 2 clowns. I believe that voting against a candidate rather than for a candidate has gotten us to where we are today in our political climate.

Haydo, same here. I voted Rn for all judges, gov, etc. No way I would ever, ever vote for Cruz. I wouldn't vote for that POS to be dog catcher. I voted Dem for attorney general. Can't vote for indicted Paxton.

It’s gonna be close but I think Cruz still wins by about 5. Beto is a reallly good candidate and Cruz sucks.

Appreciate your principles, but your pragmatism sucks.

Cruz interest are only his own, not the party. After election he immediately began to poster to run for president. He started grandstanding. He tried to become the face of the tea party. He orchestrated the shutdown against funding Obamacare, that completely backfired (he's apparently no longer a budget hawk at all). He called Mitch a liar on the senate floor. Even his republican colleagues can't stand the guy.

all these Hollywierd MORONS dropping millions and millions to "save the world"

Why not just use those millions to actually help people..... instead of throwing it all away on hate ads?

Umm, you might want to have a look at what Cruz has actually written, participated in, and voted on.

Like him or not, the dude has accomplished some great things.

Say hello to your tax cut, who helped with that bill again?

Boy I'm sure glad these grandstanders are going to gift us the next Doug Jones situation because "muh principles" and probably gift Dems the 51st vote in the Senate.

The only reason I disagree with this is the big picture. If you support trumps agenda, then you should recognize that he needs this senate vote. Even if it is Ted Cruz.

Even if the only thing you care about is judges (as these guys seem to) then you should vote Cruz for that reason alone, federal judges. I dont get it. Trump and Turtle have bern killing it in that Dept and you want to stop that momentum?

So he tried to actually do something, and people like you wormed out and got weak-kneed and called it "stupid," then you criticize him for what you perceive as toning it down.

Nice. What a fickle voter you are. Grow a pair.
