Early voting in Texas at record levels

The 15 largest counties by population have, so far, cast 2.36 million votes in 2018, compared to 837,000 cast in the 2014 midterms. WOW!
That's only 100,000 short of the 2016 Presidential election in the same six-day early voting period.

I've tried to go 4 times and it's been too long of a line each time. In fact, I'm going to dip out of work a bit early and try to get in today while people are still at work.

Republicans are dominating early voting in Texas. It's looking like an 8-10 point win for Lion Ted

Texans don't like Obamas-in-waiting like Beto.

I went at 9:45 am last Thurs and there were maybe 20 people in line.
Then walking out 10 mins later, the line was out the door and down the sidewalk. It's a crapshoot.

That’s great news for Cruz

Maybe it was MTP, but I saw somewhere that TX was up nearly 1M in early voting relative to the 2016 election. Crazy turnout. Regardless of the outcome, the more people that participate we are all the better for it.

Line was reasonable last week.
You can't predict much from the county #'s. Willimason, Denton, Collin are heavy R. Dallas, Harris, Hidalgo, El Paso heavy D, etc.

Bout to make some money backing Ted Cruz on Predictit. I can't believe he's still trading at around 80 cents.

Probably, but aren't most of those counties in the image pretty liberal?

This. What most folks don't realize is that Trump lost the aggregate of these 15 counties by 399K votes in 2016. People in Texas are much more favorable towards Beto v Clinton as well - and probably less favorable towards Cruz v Trump. I think Cruz pulls this out, but it will be smaller single digits.
