Do you know which team Dave Roberts manages?

this series would be over IF cora had simply put puig on 1st in game 3 when score was 2-1
That is the only real decision Cora has made this series that comes under a lot of scrutiny, and it is hard to argue against it on the surface. Also, you could point a finger for leaving in E Rod to pitch to Puig last night with two on after they couldn't double up Bellinger, but Puig shows reverse splits against lefties, so he stays in to face Eddie and you see what happened.

Please don't. I don't want Jon the Moron Daniels to give him the Rangers job. One idiot on this team is enough.

The Dodgers love analytics, so the will be driven by said analytics.
Him kind of throwing Rich Hill under the bus last night pissed me off a bit.

he completely fricked up this game. Hill was cruising with a reasonable pitch count and he decides to make a change because some stat sheet tells you to do so? It's tough enough to have to beat the opponent. But you shouldn't have to beat your own manager
2 nights in a row of manager being a complete idiot.

While I totally agree with your feelings on this terrible OP, Dave Roberts led the Dodgers to 92 regular season wins
And what if he's sitting his best players in the World Series?

You’ll take any opportunity to tell your stories. Lol

Jansen pitched poorly. And Boston just has a better team

Roberts (and our stats obsessed FO) is fricking awful and though it is unlikely I hope tonight is his last game ever in our dugout.

yes, the stat obsessed front office 100% responsible for this run of three straight NLCSs and two straight pennants while also finding a perfect mix of high end elite young players and under the radar pick ups while also cultivating a minor league system that does nothing but produce quality major league players and is about to go hard in the fricking paint this winter and bring in elite talent is just so fricking awful

The problem is, even if Roberts is fired, the front office will remain and hire a carbon copy of Roberts.

Does he even make decisions or just robotically do what the algorithms tell him to?
I believe that it’s this and I’d say there’s a few other managers who are doing the same.
There’s valid criticism of Roberts for this series but it all comes down to execution. None of his bullpen guys got it done.
Posted on 10/29/18 at 8:38 am to reauxl tigers
Yeah. Roberts was making his ace float 88 mph fastball to the league's best team.

Andrew Friedman joined the Dodgers after the 2014 season, since then they have won the NL West every season. Made 2 World Series appearances and another NLCS appearance, if that sucks then nobody is any good.

People are just dumb sometimes.
Back to back WS appearances. “Fire everyone!!”

And all of that is great for the regular season and none of it translates to the post. The strategy the FO and Roberts use in the playoffs is broken and this team will continue to underwhelm in October. We are about on 90s Braves level at this point and headed to Bills status soon. It’s sad being a laughing stock of baseball.
