I'd take Churchill telling Rommel and Patton to strike EAST!
Posted on 10/2/18 at 9:22 am to TigerFanInSouthland
The logistics cover it.
Rommel was alright. But he was a propaganda boon for both sides with Africa theater since that was where the action happened after UK yielded Europe.
Patton was the Swift punch to Bradley's steady push.

Where is Curtis LeMay on your list? That crazy bastard was a Major when the US entered the ear and less 4 years later was a Major General commanding the XXI Air Force in the Pacific.
LeMay got results. When squadrons were having high abort rates early in the war, it was thought that many if the pilots were aborting out of fear. LeNay started leading every mission and swore to court martial any pilot who made it inoo the air, but then aborted. The abort rate in his unit plummeted. Later in the war, B-29 pilots were using minor mechanical issues (and there were many) to abort. LeMay started rotating pilots home who reached certain success rates. Again, the abort rate plummeted.

I don't know how I could have a list without Rokossovsky in there, somewhere.

Because why have a 3 time hero of the Soviet Union when you can have a 4 time hero of the Soviet Union with Zhukov?

I’m drafting Adolph in the 1st round.

If you’re referring to Adolf Hitler, he was the best thing that the Allies has going for them from a military standpoint. His micromanaging the Wehrmacht coupled with his fanatical insistence on not giving up ground, even when that ground was worthless, helped the allies immeasurably.

Russians are a different beast. Only Russia could and would allow those casualty rates.
But moving such mass of people and armor was a mastery all it's own that never came to play in the western or Pacific theaters.

That was possibly the toughest one I left out.
And either way, this is what dream team would you have? So pick your list

It's basically just like being a HC in college football. You can have a coach who is a brilliant in one area and hires others to do the jobs he's not great at or one who is very good at all areas. Patton would be reliant on having an amazing support staff while Bradley would be able to work with whatever he has on hand. Both are viable and both have their downsides.

Any list without Gen Marshall is lacking.

Possibly, but Eisenhower directed the allied war from Europe. Marshall stayed in DC for the most part I believe.
Marshall was Chief of Staff of the Army. He was the author of Operation Overlord. Yes, Eisenhower was in the field, but Marshall was a crucial, indispensable element to the war effort.
