That doesn't make it great for teams.

To say it's good for players, sure

Teams that gave a kid a chance to play getting fricked over in the middle of a season. No. This is not a great rule for teams.

I'm sure Dabo did this to help Bryant. He could have easily waited it out 1 more week.

It's not like Clemson is getting fricked over out of nowhere.

And like I said, the team who gets Kelly Bryant next season will be helped out in a big way.

That's only one part of it. The other part is the vast majority of teams will play kids in up to 4 games and still be able to redshirt them.

A handful of kids transferring doesn't eliminate that benefit for teams.

Hurts is gone come next season IMO.

When that's your argument to be the starter, you have a problem.

Sure, Dabo could have waited. He was a good guy and cared about Kelly Bryant as a person and didn't though.

Clearly Kelly Bryant transferring is not what's best for Clemson. Having him as a backup is a much better option for them.

Sure, but that doesn't mean the ruk is bad for teams on the whole. There have been a handful of transfers but otherwise schools are benefiting tremendously. The full benefit will be realized when the season is over and these kids can take a redshirt if they didn't play enough.

This shite is getting out of control. He's one twisted knee away from being the starter again. They need to do something about these transfer situations, though I'm not sure what. Same with the guy from Arkansas.. played in 4 games and then decided to transfer.

They asked me how I felt about it,” Bryant said, recalling his meeting with Swinney. “I was like, ‘I’m not discrediting Trevor. He’s doing everything asked of him, but on my side of it, I feel like I haven't done anything to not be the starter. I've been here. I've waited my turn. I've done everything y’all have asked me to do, plus more.’

So he wants the job because it was “his turn”? This sounds really familiar...

And now the team he does to will be very grateful for the new rule.

Its great for teams because they can get young kids experience and still redshirt them and have 4 years of eligibility.

A VAST majority of the kids who play 4 games and redshirt are not going to transfer. Those kids and their teams will be far better off from the experience.

Not the mention the chance of injuries in the first 4 games.

He should have an adult conversation with Dabo and say I will stay with the team in case Trevor gets hurt and I can salvage the season, however if he is healthy, I'd prefer to save my redshirt.

Not hard.

Nah

Sure it is, it may not be good for Clemson that he is leaving, but it's good for whatever team he transfers to.

I have absolutely no problem whatsoever when a guy wants to transfer. But just be honest about it. All you have to do is say, "I want to be on the field". Stop the woe is me crap. These guys have a finite amount of time to play a sport they love. They shouldn't be using that time sitting the bench if they care about PT.

To be fair, we don't know what has been said behind the scenes going back to this past Spring football.

No problem with this. He looked like the far better player in the A&M game.
