Posters with sons: Do you fear for him one day being wrongly accused of #metoo?

With society stepping closer and closer to accusations = guilt, are you worried that one day a girl could falsely claim rape/sexual assault for whatever crazy reason? And that he has to deal with the repercussions as if he's guilty before he's allowed to put up a defense?

Im genuinely disturbed that so many guys are worried how they too might have been accused to past youthful indiscretions...
but then again I never had to force myself in a woman

Hopefully we will raise him to be repsectful and to make smart decisions, like not putting yourself in bad situations. He does that, all he can control is himself.

Sure, if someone you’ve never met makes a completely unfounded allegation, abstinence would be irrelevant. If we’re talking about regret the next morning and claiming consensual sex was rape, then abstinence would have prevented that situation, no?

people who are crazy or are willing to lie will always be there, you just have to hope that (unlike the idiot politician from Hawaii) a simple accusation isn't a conviction

This is only a matter of public perception. I still have faith in the legal system. And let's not pretend the false claims of harassment negate all claims, which seems to be the mentality on this board.

When is this ever the case other than social media outrage? And that's essentially what we do here. We hear one accuastion and we're calling for the death penatly. Or one woman makes an accusation, and with no knowledge of the case at all, everyone already assumes she's full of shite. False accusations towards a guy are hard and damaging thing, along with a woman who can't get anyone to believe her.
