If we beat Bama, their SOS would be crap, so I'm not convinced we would see them again. UGA, however, will almost be a given in the SEC championship.

Holy shite what a delusional thread.

You guys go from wanting to murder the coaching staff to putting them in the NCG.

I wish more people could make be objective. This is a team that is gritty and tough with a great Defense but a subpar Offense. And a tough schedule. Anyone believe this team will even sniff the playoffs is a certified lunatic. But a NYD bowl is doable.

I don’t believe a two loss Bama is in unless everyone has two losses

If that's out only loss, then yes, it's possible.

We might be better off beating UGA, losing a close game to Bama, finishing 11-1, hoping Bama blows out UGA in Atlanta to get into the CFP and hope Bama gets knocked off in the semifinal.

With our schedule a win vs UGA, and a loss to bama 11-1 could get us in. The other conferences better pick it up or their lack of winning could keep the conference champ out. Big 10, Pac 12, and Big 12 are the ones I’m speaking of.

Pray OU, Clemson and Ohio State all go undefeated to keep Alabama out in your scenario.

They would have to beat Bama to win the west and then you likely play UGA again in the SEC Champ. Im betting if Bama goes 11-1 with their only lose to LSU in tiger stadium they will still make the playoff. Meaning you likely have to play Bama again to win it all. Going 3-1 against those two teams would be insanely difficult.

Yes, but if they were to beat Bama and lose to Georgia, then beat Georgia in the SECCG, they would get in (obviously) and Bama would NOT get in, even at 11-1, if the selection committee has any integrity whatsoever.

There is zero chance a 1-loss Alabama team is excluded from the playoffs.

No chance. Zero. Zilch. None. A one loss bama, assuming it’s a loss to us, would get in. A one loss LSU with a loss to bama would not get in.

Bama losing to us would be “a fluke”. LSU losing to bama would be because bama is a superior team. That’s how the media would spin it. If you’ve read anything anyone said about our ranking after the win Saturday, you know it’s true. No one in the media believes we’re for real.

Anything can happen but imo we aren’t a playoff team. We got a real shot at double digit wins and a NYD bowl though.

An undefeated OU/Oklahoma St, Ohio State, Clemson and the SECC would.

I think beating Georgia and a loss to Bama might be enough. Our schedule is stronger than both and if we beat Georgia, they will not have an argument head to head or on basis of schedule.

i agree, you can beat one or the other and get in.. you beat bama you could go SEC title game, beat Georgia and you have only one loss to bama and youre in.. one loss with our top schedule??? no one could vote against that...

Bama avoided the sec champ game twice and won the natty anyway. They arent going to keep 11-1 bama out.

The system is nowhere close to ideal. Simply can’t have an advantage for missing the Sec champ game. Saying this as a college football fan and nothing to do with Alabama - who is undoubtedly the program at the top.

SOS means nothing for Bama.

They are never out of it.

Do you pay attention to how this all works? LOL
