Holy shite what a delusional thread. You guys go from wanting to murder the coaching staff to putting them in the NCG.
Isn't this board for discussions like this?

wish more people could make be objective. This is a team that is gritty and tough with a great Defense but a subpar Offense. And a tough schedule. Anyone believe this team will even sniff the playoffs is a certified lunatic. But a NYD bowl is doable.
I agree with you here. I also think this is the case for us as well due to the scenario I mention in this thread.
We go 10-2 or 11-1 and don't win the West, we are in a NYD Bowl. I just see the scenario playing out if we were to do the "unthinkable".

1 loss LSU is in, unless the other teams on our schedule all collapse.
I’m not convinced a 1 loss Bama team gets in and maybe that’s just blind faith the committee would do the right thing and severely punish them for losing ANY game on their laughable schedule, eye test be damned. Eye test only proof they shouldn’t lose to anyone and if they do, there has to be consequences.
The epic game of 11/5/2011 was rendered a damn footnote in history by what was allowed to transpire. Actually, same for every great game that year. (And I’m still convinced the field goal call was wrong in the OK State v Iowa State game. OKSt shoulda been allowed to have a shot at being part of history. Who gives a flying f... if Alabama has their 25th championship vs 24th).
I just think for the better good of the game, they’d see fit to spread the wealth.
I think nick would tell em they don’t deserve to go if they lose a game.
History is replete with examples of championships won by teams or competitors who clearly weren’t the best (N. C. State; USA hockey team; Villanova; Jack Nicklaus-86 Masters; Miami Hurricanes-1st natty; every opponent in Super Bowls who beat Brady q.b.’ed Pats; and on and on.)
There’s got to be a light bulb moment where the committee realizes the Cinderella aspect of all sports, especially ameteur sports, hangs in the balance because at the end of the day, it is the 1 most compelling virtue that gives it the lasting effect!
Otherwise, there just needs to be a revolt significant enough to open their eyes because again, if participation by the “best team” is mutually exclusive to the “most deserving”, why play the games at all, especially the regular season games.
