While Nixon called on voters to be changemakers, her campaign team appeared to be sending out a different message, blaming high voter turnout for the candidate's loss.
In a memo reportedly sent out to journalists as polls closed, Nixon's campaign team accused Cuomo's campaign of overseeing an "unconscionable influx in spending" that resulted in an "extremely high" turnout "throughout the state," according to The Hill.
"This is likely due to two factors: tens of millions of dollars in advertisements from Andrew Cuomo pushing voters to the polls; and a desire on the part of prime Democratic voters to send a message to [President Donald Trump] for the first time since his election," the campaign team said.
Nixon's team also reportedly blamed fewer polling hours in upstate New York, where they said Nixon polled better than in New York City, for the landslide loss.
They also cited reports of voting problems in New York City neighborhoods where they claimed Nixon also polled better than anywhere else as having added to the Democrat's loss.

thought this part was funny.
So the only reason we should legalize marijuana is because of racial injustices with the law being in place. Is she claiming only minorities smoke?
Also, is this how she wants to determine what laws should be on the books? Can't have too many laws that are perceived as racist.

I really hate to say this ,and I am not trying to advocate for a Democrat here ,but I hope the same thing happens with Ocasico-Cortez. This is a stick with the devil you know situation and I just hope Crowley's third party bid knocks her down.

I didn't know much about her candidacy.. I just had some preconceived notions that she was a leftist with heavy socialist tendencies and wanted 80% tax rates on anyone making over $125,000, abortions legal through the child's 11th month outside the womb, and white people to have to tattoo "I am evil and privileged" on their foreheads.
But honestly, what was her platform? How did she perform in debates?
