Put in a bid for VGWCF after watching it the past few weeks.

I'm thinking about buying acerage holdings. seems like a straight MA play with plenty of upside. as the stock for stock trade keeps you moving acerage price up with canopy at a cheaper cost per share.
of course if they dont legalize in the us that's problematic. anyone know the time frame on the deal laid out. this seems like a good opportunity

Just got back from a hop over the northern border.
Got some interesting information
got sent here as a good place to see how the brands up there are actually performing in the real world and what people are saying about prices, quality etc. Reddit OCS
the folks i talked to said the saskatchawan province did the best job.
Other notes I got when I asked some more questions:
Lots of price problems and lack of ability for the legal companies to compete with black market so far. The black market has better quality, prices, and is readily available for delivery in a couple areas.
Tweed is having quality problems and apparently struggling to fight mold. also interesting that they're doing lots of soil instead of hydroponic growing.
Aurora was the best recommended quality legal producer right now for them atleast in ontaria province.
rollout has been messy there for sure. Interesting to hear some thoughts from over the border on how legalization has gone.

Price is always going to be a problem when fighting the black market. The thing is going to be availability and spread. Once it’s legaized everywhere, it will be much easier for people to deal with legal methods of obtaining rather than black market. These things will sort themselves out over time.
Good information

availability is definitely a problem. right now the canadian government is fining some of these companies for not selling weed. as they didnt get the stores opened in time as promised.

I'm still kinda spread out...not sure if I'm doing right.
Canopy has jumped this week and I sold for profits.
Hexo jumped as well, but I'm holding it a bit more along with ACB.
I'm a little heavier in CRON than I want to be...though I think it still has upside but will be slow.
Bought in on LVVV at below .02....tough to not sell when it hit .03 but decided to hold longer. Not sure if that was right.
Also still holding on POTN. Seems like they have good revs and marketing....can't understand why the price is declining.

canopy is way overpriced. I have no argument to support their valuation st the moment you're paying for perfect execution and political winds for rest of next two years.

ACB has the best product if they can figure out distribution. they also have the best cost per kg. they're a good future buyout target for someone.
no idea on hexo.

Cron is my next one I'm stalking. right now trying to talk myself out of it and find everything wrong with the play.

I'm not convinced they're a real company yet. having read this thread I get more skeptical with each time they fail at something and don't seemingly learn.

i think the key is going to be finding the sweet spot in terms of tax rate on the legal market. if that sweet spot is achieved there will be little need for consumers to go to the black or grey market
its a process
watch california and see what they do

Can anyone explain what’s going on with Valens with their warrants expiring or whatever?

As Tilt Holdings Inc. completed a four-way reverse merger and began trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange late last year, the U.S.-based cannabis producer claimed the value of its disparate parts was roughly $500 million. A month later, the pot company had a slightly different valuation for those same businesses: About $7 million.
