Add me to the list. Joe should have played at OSU last year. He's got the skills. I wish he had a cupcake at home to start with, but he'll be ready for Miami. Excited to be an LSU fan. If it comes down to OSU vs LSU in playoffs this year, then I'm pulling for LSU for sure.

When LSU comes out, the field's gonna tilt - men against boys. Miami getting smoked!

Clemson lost to Syracuse. I mean we can do this all day. Fact of the matter is, elite programs to lose to Troy. PITT is a ACC team at the very least.

I'm just asking what is your point? We beat Syracuse, Syracuse beat Clemson, Clemson beat Miami.... are you going by some transitive property or something?

Yes, we lost to Troy. That's no secret. It was a crappy game and we should've been better prepared. Again, what is your point? I'm really asking, not trying to be a jerk.

Well I did root for Miami last season when I saw they were undefeated pretty late in the year, jumped on the bandwagon a bit. So yes, I will root for you guys Monday and after, sure.

This argument doesn’t work so well when we lost to Troy.

Not trying to argue anything. Just pointing out we lost to a team we shouldn't have, they did too.

Our's is worst though

What makes you think Burrow stands a chance? Not one LSU fan has backed up their predictions of a big Burrow performance with any substantial information.

It really is a somewhat unknown . Best resource I have (for now) is what Ohio State fans had to say when Burrow was announced LSU’s starter. Its more unbiased info to me than what some of the biased rantards opinions on here .

quote:

I'm hesitant to call Joe a 'back-up'

quote:

I really hope we (the coaching staff) made the right choice. I personally liked Joey Burrito better as a QB -- I prefer a guy with touch to a guy with a gun for an arm who can rifle it but doesn't have great touch.

quote:

Burrow's arm is just as big. They both threw it 64 in the spring game challenge. Burrow used more touch, as noted.

quote:

"I personally liked Joey Burrito Ohi-eaux Jeaux better as a QB."

quote:

LSU has gotten itself a dangerous QB who can put them in positions to win and handle the ball in situations! Good Luck Joe Burrow, hope to read of your success!

quote:

Not surprised - top quality QB ..... really pulling for him to do well ...

quote:

Proving once again the Buckeyes don’t have backups they have more starters. Go get ‘em Joe Beat Bama

quote:

Proving again JB should have been starter at OSU. But alas...

quote:

Can I be glad and sad at the same time?? I hope he totally lights up the SEC because I am still counting him as a Buckeye and seeing him as a loaner to LSU. The big question is why did they wait so long to announce it... was there ever any doubt? He might have given Ed O a new lease on his coaching spot...;))

quote:

LSU will be in thick of that SEC race now that they have a legit QB....

quote:

WHY AM I NOT SURPRIZED?!?!?! While LSU moves forward with Joe, osu will fail with Hawkins. People, this is crazy, this is wrong, this so upsets me. You know, there is no reason for this. Yes, I am Pissed at urban and osu!

quote:

I was one of the ones that truly felt Burrow should have gotten the nod here....this is NOT a slight on Haskins at all and I fully support him, BUT I honestly felt like Burrow was a more complete qb, would have been the backup last season if not for his hand injury early and he had put the time in. I miss having him on the roster. I want him to have a year (or 2) that shows the NFL that he belongs

That's a bad td/into ratio. It's not hard to claim that u have a elite defense when you play in the acc.

He runs very hard and is not afraid to bully defenders and fight for extra yards.

Well that's great news. I'm sure Big Ed who's 6'2 335 / Shelvin who is 6'3 350 / Rosenthal who is 6'7 335 / and Livingston who is 6'3 340 will be glad to hear that he's coming for them with bad intentions.

Not to mention D White who's a tackling machine will be there just in case he decides to outrun them around the edge bc there's no way he's going to run through them.

I hope that interior Oline is stout bc our middle is about as big and strong as they come. I'm willing to bet that it's one of the biggest and strongest in the country. That's who our OL has had to push around all year lol. I'm sure your DEs and blitz will be a challenge for our OL but if they figure it out, look out. They will blow that DL off the ball on the interior.

We've faced a bad arse DE before at A&M and he almost got kicked out of the game because he was so frustrated. I'm not saying that will happen again but I could. GT

Why are you Miami fans comparing last years LSU/Miami teams to this years?

I assure you that this LSU defense will perform on a completely different level than the 2017 defense did. We bring back everyone that mattered last year plus added depth. We had guys who weren't eligible last year who are in their second year and now are eligible, we have guys who played in the first 2 or 3 games then RS who are coming back, plus we have the freshman big men we've added for depth.

There were like 4 LBrs who didn't play last year bc of injury who were going to have good seasons last year. Then added some JUCO guys and some freshman who have performed well. Same goes with the secondary, we added Fulton, Stevens, Harris, Alexander and Joseph.

This is a totally different LSU team with a helluva lot more talent and depth playing in 2018. Some of these guys were ready last year we simply didn't have room. We had guys that played for 3 years in front but they were ready. This D is so much more versital, deep and healthy then they were last year. We also had a front seven full of young players. That's not the case this year.

If there's one thing I'm not concerned with about Burrow is him getting rattled. He might make a mistake or two and pass the ball closer then he should have then get it picked but he will understand what the defense is showing. That's his strength. I think people are putting way too much into him being new to this offense. Steve E is great with QBs and knows how to keep them comfortable back there.

We have also added many more behind the scenes analyst and Jerry Sullivan who is helping with route trees within the offense which fit the college game. We have improved in one area that I will not say but we've traditionally been soft in this area and it's much improved now. They've been practicing it all offseason and was something Ed O wanted to get better at within the offense.

Miami WILL NOT just be able to pin their ears back in this game. There are also fakes that look exactly like these plays which can go for huge yards if Miami over reacts to it. I can't wait for this game! GT

Myth busted. All of our OL has started or seen significant gamenexperience at this point, I believe. It is not inexperienced.

And Burrow also has some game time under his belt. He also beat out the heir apparents, all three of them. He’ll “gel” fine by game day. Now, your defense is good and will make us work for what we’ll get. But any struggle will be because your defense is good, not because of inabilities on our part.

But it will be a good game, and screw UForfeit! Good luck rest of season.

I can respect that; however, you are vastly underestimating LSUs defense. They are significantly better than UMs. That’s not being a homer. This defense is likely to be on par (or better) than 2011 LSU.

As far as a gamer, that’s a weak statement when you look at the teams you played with a pulse......like the three losses at the end of last season. Your QB is a far bigger concern than Joe Burrow.
