How long does it take for you to change your oil?

In the driveway, start to finish?
I think I have everything I need. This will be the first time I do it on my old sedan. Have one of these filters I'm not accustomed to.
Probably save the other service items, and the wiper fluid pump, until next week, but I'm YouTubed up on instructions and ready to slide under there after work.
An hour to do it right?

Jiffy Lube gets it done in like 20 min

On a vehicle that I'm familiar with it takes about 20 minutes. I rarely change my own anymore though.

Not nearly as fast as changing the blinker fluid.

If it takes an hour, something went wrong

If I focused only on the oil change, from start to cleaned up, I'd say about 30 minutes, conservatively.
I usually get the oil draining and let it sit for a while and have a beer, maybe even handle another quick chore before I get back to finishing the oil change though. My actual average time is probably closer to an hour just because I'm "multi-tasking".

An hour?? I mean maybe 30 min if filter is a bitch to get off or something, but typically like 15 minutes. Just one bolt and a filter to take off... couple minutes to drain and the amount of time to pour in 5 quarts or whatever your engine calls for

Depends on how long you want to wait for your old oil to drain.

Changing the oil is easy, it's finding a place to dump your old oil that's a PITA.

Get yourself the drive up plastic ramps, much faster and easier imo. If just the oil it will take 20 minutes but as said I'm usually doing other things like cleaning my car out or changing wiper blades.
I change mine because I use whatever full synthetic is on sale and it's usually $35 tops to diy. Anywhere else it's $65-85 for full synthetic usually.

It takes my garage staff about 15 minutes.

Almost 10 years, build date 01/09.
It has aero panels underneath I have to remove, and create a cardboard damn to stop the oil from going up on top the panel just behind the oil pan.

This is why I only hand tighten the oil filters. I am pissed if I have to use a strap wrench.

I just changed the oil in my car a couple weeks ago. It took me about 45-50 minutes as I was watching TV while letting the oil drain.

Takes me 30 mins but I also rotate my tires at the same time. I had one car (Mini Cooper S) that took 15 mins longer because of the location of the oil filter. Big pain to remove.
I always take mine back to the auto parts store I am buying my new oil from. I stay one oil change ahead. If they tell me they dont have a drum to take my oil - I take my business elsewhere. (They always magically find a way to take my oil after I start heading towards the door). Except at Wal Mart where they dont care at all.

Less than an hour. I also rotate the tires while the oil is draining.

I was just going to use two jack stands. Still have to figure out a jack point.
