wouldn't what you are saying about alcoholics and drug abusers fall under therapeutic nihilism?
In all honesty (suggests I have not been honest before, right?), I am not smart enough to even pronounce nihilism, let alone be able to pretend to know what it means. I’ll just have to trust you on this one.

I'm not clicking the link because I don't want to see the gruesome photos but does it explain where or how the hell she shot herself where it destroyed her face but not her brain?

Therapeutic nihilism is a contention that it is impossible to cure people or societies of their ills through treatment. In medicine, it was connected to the idea that many "cures" do more harm than good, and that one should instead encourage the body to heal itself.

Rifle. By the pic it looks like she put it under the chin and it just went following the front of the skull.

Wow. What an emotional story. As a parent, I can't even imagine the heartbreak that her parents had to go through. Before her attempt, she looks pretty and happy. It's very important to remind our loved ones how much they are truly loved.

She should have gotten the MD’s who switched travolta and cage’s face in the movie. They did a better job

yep, hopefully this can help burn victims and shite
yes i agree this girl will most likely suicide again, weak minds are still weak minds after all.

i can get behind this. i don't agree with taxpayer funded healthcare and one of the main reasons is that society will start to dictate who deserves healthcare or not.

Seriously. WTF? There are lots of people who have attempted suicide and have overcome their obstacles. I think the only person with a weak mind is you. Ridiculous to think that.

She was gorgeous and could have had any guy she wanted
Quite a few posters sounding like it's mainly sad because she was so pretty, missing the mark just a tad.
quote:What is that opinion really worth given you really don't know much of anything about her?
In my opinion, she will really hate her herself the rest of her life.
Posted on 8/15/18 at 11:03 am to shel311
Exactly! I however do know her and can promise that she does not hate herself at all.

I don't know about this. I mean I'm happy for her parents that still have their little girl alive, but I don't know how her quality of life will be after the surgery. She was gorgeous and could have had any guy she wanted. In my opinion, she will really hate her herself the rest of her life.
Probably one of the most ignorant posts I've read on this site, and that says something.

DoD had a role as well as many others. Many people and charities as well as medical professionals offering services free just to be a part of breakthrough procedures.
