Wouldn't be surprised if LSU is an underdog in all those games.
But we don't have a tough schedule...

He also says 6-6 and 8-4 are possibilities
I think this is where most reasonable are right now.

Also, Orgeron will NOT be fired after this season.
I mean Moscona speaks on this every Morning Scone show it seems. Alleva's definitely not firing Orgeron, so Alleva would have to go before any talk of Orgeron getting the ax would have any real validity behind it.

If O gets canned, will we actually be paying 3 head coaches next year?? When do we stop paying Les not to coach?
So what does that total look like AFTER Jan 1?
Les should be <2MM left because LSU would have paid him 4.3 for 2017 and 4.3 for 2018 of the 9.7 he had left by the end of 2016.
As far as Orgeron, his buy out after this year is 8.5 MM. so LSU can start over with a total buy out of about 10MM from both of those guys and just pay a coach what coaches make.
The first thing I would do is go after Dan radokovich. As much as I would LOVE to see Scott Woodward back in BR that isn’t happening. The guy has the most profitable AD program in the country by a mile and isn’t leaving there.
And before you tards start, look up the term “profitability”. TAMU was only second to UT in total revenue, but spent far less. Bama and other programs are so far behind that it is a joke.
They have first class facilities and are continuing to build.
We are sucking hind tit.

O will have to have losing season to get fired. Doubt that happens. 8 wins is realistic ceiling this year. Too many questions offensively.

7-5 he’s safe. Flip that 5-7 then he’s gone

Miami and Mississippi state share the same thing, hyped because of one big win last year. Finished p%ss poor. Makes no sense
LSU beat 1 team with a winning conference record last year. One.

Is Scott Rabalais transitioning into a woman?
Naw. Only Carly Dubois pulled that off.

Correct. New AD in the spring means O gets a third year and no more unless he succeeds.
Define “succeeds”. O could lose 5 this season and be on the hottest of seats for the next season. He proceeds to go 8-4 in 2019. Ok. What do you do? He improved.
You gonna fire a coach who improved? I have a strangely bad feeling we may be riding the mediocre train for awhile.

Oh. From his prediction I assumed he was.

This. LSU isn't going to toss more money into the buyout fire at this point.
If O tanks at 6-6 or 7-5 this year, it's Alleva's arse. He put his neck on the line with the shitty O hire and he'll be the first casualty of that decision.
Alleva gets canned and a new AD comes into and gets to run an assessment and put together a plan for his athletic department.
quote:
Orgeron's two-way buyout with the program is $12 million this year and drops every subsequent year of the contract. It slips to $8.5 million in 2018, $6 million in 2019, $4.5 million in 2020 and just $1 million for the final year.
Alleva really fricked LSU with the buyout numbers. The reality is, LSU is likely going to have to swallow a few years of mediocrity until O's buyout gets more palatable. He's almost certainly got next year and probably 2020 as well

No one ever said it wasn't a tough schedule. Of course it is. It's just not any tougher than our schedule has been outside if last year. The reason LSU could be an underdog in all of those games is because of the way we lost games last year.
Start winning a few of those games and the perception will change in a hurry.

LSU just fired a coach that went from 8-5 to 9-3 the following season.

LSU’s leading rusher will be …
Lowell Narcisse. Hey, I had to take a flyer on someone. If he breaks a few long runs out of the Wildcat formation and none of LSU’s true running backs establish themselves, it could happen.
The CFP final four will be …
No. 1 Clemson versus No. 4 Georgia in the Orange Bowl
No. 2 Alabama versus No. 3 Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl.

He's not paid to blow smoke up the arse of readers. Get the frick out of here.
Nice original playoff prediction.
No smoke but lowell narcisse our leading rusher.... you get the frick out of here

You're calling for a man to be fired because you don't like his predictions. Go be fricking dumb somewhere else.

quote:Explain the logic?
Explain the logic in predicting losses to Miami miss state or Texas am when you're from baton rouge and should know that this team is better than that.
Two teams definitely have better head coaches. The one we're unsure of is taking over a team that stomped us last year, and brings a lot back.
It's ok to be hopeful and optimistic, but the truth is that we're not very imposing right now. We look to be fielding a competent defense, and everything else is up in the air.
Posted on 8/12/18 at 7:44 pm to LSURussian
I am by no means saying LSU will make the playoffs. So please don't be an arse-hat and misunderstand what I'm saying but nobody thought Georgia would do what they did last year after going 6-6before last year.
Posted on 8/12/18 at 7:45 pm to LSURussian
Well he’s a dumbass, didn’t even know Sullivan was playing TE in the scrimmage.
Posted on 8/12/18 at 7:47 pm to chinco banditos
Like some clown on youtube started at 7-5 and finished at 10-2. What it means is no one knows!
Posted on 8/12/18 at 7:49 pm to CBP3110
It should not even be up for debate...if an LSU coach goes 6-6, with the equity this program has built and the talent on the team, he should be fired! Why does 0 get a pass!?!? Alleva’s dumb arse hired him and the Board let it happen so the buyout is in their lap if he goes 6-6.
No way 6-6 should EVER be acceptable at LSU...EVER!
