Really good read from the Washington Examiner on what the economy in Louisiana is looking like compared to Our neighboring states. Tax hikes, tax hikes, tax hikes. Can’t wait for Edwards to go.

Frick Vitter for attacking other Republicans when he knew that he would be in the top 2 and Edwards was always going to make the run-off.

Louisiana was doomed when Earl Long rebuked the US Government on the deal they offered for all of our gas and oil. Dumbasses.

But it's Jindal's fault, or at least that's what they want us to think.

There are more Democrats in La. than there are Republicans.

We have been an entitled state since the days of Huey Long. Unfortunately, it's finally come back to really haunt us to a point where there is no turning back.

Look, if you are really opposed to tax increases, you should be blaming the legislators who failed to come up with cuts that didn't mostly focus on education and healthcare. I'd agree that there is room for some cuts, but only cutting those areas is a recipe for keeping the state dead last.

Cutting those areas of spending in order to lower taxes was given a fair try under Jindal and did not help the state at all.

People in Louisiana have been making the move to TX long before Edwards took office

Dude, candidates will make missteps but the final blame will always lie with the voters.

And whoever the voters elect, that is what they will deserve. And they deserve it because they chose to shite on a legit conservative in favor of a wolf in sheeps clothing.

They have no business blaming the losing candidates when they made that decision themselves.

Louisiana voters chose JBE and they will have to live with the consequences of that.

Most of the budget is protected by the constitution thanks to Louisiana voters. This state needs a constitutional convention

He'll be governor until January 2024, but it's not just him. Louisiana's legislature is full of RINOs.

Jindal failed to cut spending in politically sensitive areas, and he let the movie credit scam become an entitlement.

JBE is not cutting either and he's going full bore tax increase.

While we do need to change the Constitution, it's not as bad as the politicians would have you believe. They use it as an excuse to do nothing.

Well, to be perfectly honest, Jindal was a complete frick up of the first order. He was easily the worse governor of my lifetime, and I go all the way back to Jimmie Davis.

I've never heard about this. What was the offer? How would LA be better off if he'd taken it?
