Deontay Wilder: I'm going to fight Tyson Fury in November or December

Wilder told BoxingScene.com on Thursday night that a deal is nearly finalized for him to fight Fury either in “November or December.” Their Showtime Pay-Per-View bout is expected to take place either on November 10 or November 17 at an undetermined venue in Las Vegas.
“Whatever date that suits us best, that’s the date we’ll go with,” Wilder said. “But people should know that this fight is happening. It will happen. We just can’t wait. We can’t wait to announce it and get it on.”
After frustrating failed negotiations with Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, Wilder has been pleasantly surprised with how quickly his adviser, Al Haymon, his co-manager, Shelly Finkel, and Frank Warren, Fury’s promoter, have moved toward completing contracts for what will be the biggest fight of the Alabama-based knockout artist’s 10-year pro career.
“It could be wrapped up next week,” Wilder said. “Or it could be wrapped up [Friday]. We’re that close. This has been the easiest negotiation I’ve ever been in, dealing with a fight of this magnitude. That just lets you know this fight will happen. I don’t see nothing that will stop this fight from happening, nothing at all.”
According to Wilder, that’s a testament to Fury’s fearlessness. The 6-feet-9 former champion isn’t as big a star in the United Kingdom as Joshua, but he, too, could’ve demanded that the 6-feet-7 Wilder travel to Fury’s native England to make more money than Wilder could earn for fighting anyone other than Joshua.
“I respect for him and I salute him for that, for trying to save face for his country, to try to save them from the embarrassment they feel over there,” Wilder said. “Because we’re laughing at them hard, especially when Joshua asked for $50 million and then talked about he was just playing. But Fury, he’s a true champion. This is what champions are all about.”
Wilder was willing to fight Joshua at Wembley Stadium, but he is very satisfied with an intriguing, surprising Plan B he hadn’t even considered in the immediate aftermath of the Joshua negotiations ending.
“This is a bigger fight than the Joshua fight,” Wilder said. “This is a way bigger fight. Just for Tyson to take this opportunity, and be able to do [a deal] in a short amount of time, it tells you about his character. He’s a true warrior. He’s a true gypsy king and I can’t wait to share a ring with him.”

Would Wilder winning give him the leverage to get Joshua to come to America? The fight has to happen sometime next year.

Tyson Fury walking to the ring to Sweet Home Alabama -- a nod towards Deontay Wilder, who is from Alabama -- is great. Fury-Pianetta about to start on @SHOsports streaming platforms.

It would be ppv you the UK
In America probably not Wilder has never fought a domestic PPV
In terms of the fight. Fury is a better boxer by light years and is a massive man who can’t be bullied. Wilder will have to use ever amount of that power to beat him.

Wilder and his crew chased Billy Joe Saunders and his crew out of a Nandos in Belfast after Billy Joe threw some chicken at Wilder

Tyson Fury sounds like something afflicting your bowls after eating bad poultry.

I seriously doubt it. Wilder can't fill a local arena when he fights in his home town. Meantime, Joshua fills Wembly Stadium for every fight he has.
The only way I see Joshua coming stateside to fight Wilder is if the money is ridiculously tilted in his favor, and that's not likely to happen.
I don't particularly like Tyson Fury as a fighter, but he has the style to take it to Wilder and beat him. Hell, old arse Luis Ortiz had Wilder stepping in post holes in their last fight.
Wilder's ace in the hole is his power because it certainly isn't his great footwork or boxing ability. He's by far the sloppiest heavyweight champ I've seen in decades with those windmill punches and lousy footwork.

Good. I'll be looking forward to this one. Two big undefeated heavyweights with a combined 67-0 record, fight needs to happen.
Its annoying heavyweight boxing takes years to produce just one big HW fight with legitimate mass appeal. The thing about heavyweight boxing is fights that are a spectacle and must see. This fight isnt one of those, but it is just 1 notch below which is about the best boxing can produce these days.

I predict some dismal amount of buys for that one. It will come down to who's on the undercard to boost sales.

Also Fury has been taking great shots at that little bitch Hearn
“I ask for a contract, he sent a contract, I agreed, and now we’ll fight”
It actually happens pretty smoothly when both parties actually want to fight

Joshua was offered just that and he still said no

Why? It is literally the biggest heavyweight fight in a few years.

16 months ago Joshua fought Wladimir Klitschko for the title in Wembley Stadium and KO'd him in the 11th round. That was the biggest fight in recent years in the heavyweight division as far as I'm concerned. It pitted the former champ against the new champ and it was a very good, action fight with both fighters getting rocked.

Not really. Wilder’s camp offered only up to a certain amount then it was a split that basically made it 50/50.
Wilder isn’t the draw here.
If this fight happens it needs to be either in Germany or Montreal. Wembley and Vegas are both no goes even though the money would be outrageous

No.
That fight exposed AJ and his handlers have done everything they can to keep their cash cow sheltered and safe from that again.
