Same could be said about the Ortiz fight for Wilder. Klitscko was a better opponent also

Exactly. VK didn’t look particularly good in any of his last 3 fights. Hell Luis Ortiz looked better against Bryant Jennings than Klitschko did

It comes down to this: AJ is dodging Wilder. He and his team are scared of the man.

AJ fans on here will say it does nothing for AJ and Wilder isn't a big enough draw, but that's bullshite.

It's a title unification, giving AJ the chance to claim to be "Undisputed".

He scared, because they know that Wilder is a dangerous man.

AJ wouldn’t have the chance to become unified if he dodged Povetkin to fight Wilder next

That’s false and you know it. Wilder is making outrageous demands and playing the game well.

WBA demanded he fight their #1 contender or lose the belt

It’s two birds with one stone though as he is also the WBOs #1

How convenient.

It's an excuse to avoid the fight. WBA had no problem fighting another belt holder. They demanded he fight their contender after the Wilder fight fell through.

Povetkin would have gotten the next fight against the winner
