If the citizens in the People's Republic of Austin, a city that is probably the most liberal in Texas by a long ride, want to change their name, I have no problem with that.

I told everyone during the statues debate that was only the tip of the iceberg. The SJW's have only just begun. I was in Austin 2 months ago & went into the original Whole Foods on West 6th in Austin. It was like walking into a Bernie Sanders rally. I think eventually they will call to tear down all Plantation Homes across the South. Just wait...….

If a city votes to have their own statues taken down or change their name, so be it. Isn't the ability to govern your own city the way you see fit a staple of small government?
