Ryan Willis, DE from New Orleans
always seemed to make plays when he was in the game.

Ken Addy. Backup tailback to Jimmy LeDoux, Brad Davis and Jim Benglis in the 1972 but had a stellar game in 1972 v. Wisconsin where he ran for over 100 yards!
The boy could play...and should of played moar.

He started, he just didn't perform. I remember one of his first plays as a RB, I think it was a Georgia LB almost broke him in half.

I know he eventually started, but I've been thinking about Corey Thompson. We waited so long for that dude to get on the field, and he really delivered last year.

Welp, Casey Taber was recruited by Curley Hallman and threw one pass in 1994, in the first game. It was a 50 yard bomb and was dropped just short of the end zone by the WR, on the last play of the game. Would of been a TD and would of won the game for the Tigers. Kind of a metaphor for the 1994 Tigers, and Curley Hallman.
Now Taber was converted to TE by Dinardo, and played frequently in 1996 and 1997. He caught one pass in each of those seasons, for 17 and 11 yards, respectively.

This thread absolutely proves that the season cannot start soon enough.

I wasn’t alive in 88 so would you want to give a description as to why Mickey Guidry comes to mind for you?
Looks like others have answered the question. To me he was an all-LSU Louisiana kid, who could have started at other schools, who stuck it out at LSU and played a role in helping the team be successful. Couple of examples...
Play I most remember Guidry for
LSU-BAMA ‘86

Local BR boy, Robert E Lee High, played one year with him in high school. He was a beast and agree he should have played much more at LSU.....also one of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet and a hell of a guitar player as well.

Who was your brother? My sister was a freshman in my (and Junius’) senior year. She may know him, though the school was so big she may not have.
Tim and I were schoolmates at Scott Jr. High as well. Cory Cavalier was the fullback in that same offense. He was one tough dude on the field but a real down to earth nice guy off the field. More so than any of his brother in my experience, not disparaging them, per se. They were all very good athletes, the rest of them that I knew or interacted with seemed a little more “cognisant” of the fact they were very good athletes, if you get my meaning. That may have just been my perception. I still run into Cory, he still looks like he could run through a brick wall and still always takes the time to chat with me. We’ve known each other since kindergarten, though.
