You can assign blame to O, or Canada, or even Aranda if you want. But that is not what lost the game.

A shortage of defensive linemen allowed Troy to knock us off the ball and dominate the LOS.
But many tackles were missed and some LBs and DBs were out of position to make plays too often.

Downvote away but O didn't lose that game. The players did by not making the simple plays & by making stupid mistakes.
Don't care if you are the 4th team RB, Brossette should have never fumbled that ball on the opening play. He knows about ball security. They practice it every day.
We missed tackles on Chunn all night.
Missed 35 yd field goal after driving from our 20. Two fumbles lost and two interceptions. Four turnovers won't win many games. Third down efficiency was horrible at 0 for 9. QB's missed several open receivers. Yet we still outgained Troy and had the last possession with a chance to win.
Players are responsible for this one.

Great analogy. Players were not ready and the lack of DL personnel was the most contributing factor to lose that game and to MSU

On any given day, don’t you think all 2nd/3rd team backups at LSU should beat any team at Troy. Just saying, I know how the mentality is against weaker opponents, players care less but still falls on coaching, no excuses

Geez.

Yeah, they just went out there and made dumb mistakes. Almost like they had no head coach to guide them.

What about the prior week when we were lucky enough to fart out a win with Syracuse? Syracuse! In Baton Rouge, at night. The players fault again?

I don't understand what it is with you O fans. If you like the guy, that's your right but you're not being realistic. It's always someone else's fault. It's completely illogical. "It's Aranda's fault, it's Canada's fault, it's the fans fault," now it's the players fault.

It's never the fault of the man that's actually driving the bus. It's truly mind boggling.

Jesus.. are you Paul Mainieri? Throw the players under the bus and back over them. When a team like LSU loses to a Sun Belt team it’s the coach’s fault for not having the team prepared.

It was unacceptable, and it better not happen again.

I heard they played every snap and all, but didn't know on offense also.

Looking at the score by quarters, it seems Troy was the team that tired, or LSU offense woke up and played closer to potential.
Just think if they'd have done that from the start and took Troy out of their gameplan.

Yep, players fault not coach, just like 1-9-12 right?

As it turns out I don't think O has ever been at fault for anything ever.

Never thought I’d see the day where people actually think they can justify losing to a directional school. Wow. From National Title contenders to this pitty party.

LSU scored zero points in the first half but we had no d lineman. O never takes a loss

Who is responsible for making sure the players are ready for the game, so that they don't make stupid mistakes and can execute simple plays during a game day situation?

I wonder...

When players don't play well, and they have FAR more talent than the other team, do you just blame the players? Coaching plays a role here. Or, you can just blame the fans.

All things a good coach would have his team prepared not to do. How can anyone not understand what a joke our coaching staff is to the knowledgeable college football world? That includes $2.5M to Aranda. Please, he was fired by Hawaii a few years ago.

The only thing they do a decent job of doing is recruiting and that is because O is full of bullshite. Unfortunately we are going to lose several of our top level recruits once the ball is kicked off in Arlington.

Hopefully, no idea who, can get to these commits and get them excited about LSU post EO as I think these kids want to play for LSU, not necessarily the current coaching staff.

If you like turmoil, this will be a fun seasonal for you. Wish we had a new AD that could see what is coming and already be making a plan for the next head coach.

You can bet Alleva hasn’t lifted a finger to get prepared. If for some awful reason he is still around in late November, he will start to think about it then.

You can’t watch the game without bias dumbass. Everyone has it.
So those dlinemen (and Olinemen) that left after O took over are on O. Period.

Welcome to the O era, everyone. It’s completely understandable when LSU loses at home to a sun belt team! Geaux Tigers!

We love our coach O!

I hate you frickers for what you and Alleva have done to the program. The sooner we sweep out the swamp trash, the better.

Lol used to not be okay to be “beat at the los” by a sun belt team. One of the many perks of having 0 as a head coach!

The head coach is ultimately responsible for the product on the field. Duke Riley came and watched them practice and saw serious problems. Why had they been allowed to practice that way and why did Riley have to spot it and tear into their asses to get it fixed?
