44 degrees this morning at the track. That's how you start the day, WOW! I was a little late because I was searching my winter gear.

7 miles total
a bunch of 800 repeats.

When I finally got a phone call, it was to try and get me in the tempo nexts because “we don’t know when the next shipment will come in”. That was 2 weeks ago.

I guess I pissed someone off there, but not enough to not want my money? It’s so weird because I talk to Mike every once and a while, and James and I get along real well. Mike and I do wear the same size though.

Started carb loading a little tonight with plenty rice. Had a little pasta today for lunch too. Plan on ramping up tomorrow and Saturday. Breads and rice and pasta and chicken and dates and bananas oh my.

fricking IT band acting up though.

Pasta is delicious. You’ll be fine. Maybe take a bike ride? That always helps me when I’m feeling a little tight.

White River is 3 weeks out. Looking forward to coming in second, or possibly third. Never won a big race in my life; no reason to start now.

Trained pretty well this year and my workouts have been consistent lately. So if everything goes perfect, I have potential to run a low 2:30s. Goal is anything under 2:40. Got 4 runners on the board going so... see ya race day, baws. I’ll be dressed like you always figured Salmon dresses every day: jorts, tie dye shirt, and bandana.

Ran in the snow a couple of days this week. Looking forward to a high of 60 tomorrow.

Good luck to all you marathon and WRM runners. Everybody is looking primed on Strava

We're gonna need a team pic for the board at WRM. Shirtless and split shorts required, of course.

North south out and back. First mile is a 200 ft drop. If you get an east west wind it’ll be a head wind each way because of the geography. Narrow start and in places, the road is bombed out. This race is for the state championship at the 26.2 for the RRCA.

Noice! Got 16 in this am, 8:07 pace including WU/CD. Started out quicker than my running mate wanted to, so had to pull back a little at 6, as our intended pace was 8:00. Felt like I could have probably set a 13.1 PR the way I was feeling. Seriously contemplating trying my hand at 26.2 at MGCM, but running out of time and don’t really wanna piece meal my training for my first Full.

Alpha’s are on the Nike app right now. Some sizes are out but there are still a bunch left the last time I checked.

Death. But done! Well over 26.2 I think. Probably around 8 minute pace and about 27 miles. Serious wall to push through around 22 miles in. So proud and so happy to be done

I saw your run on Strava and was seriously impressed. Truly spectacular job Quail. The Wall is real and I'm so glad to see you didn't let it break you. I hope you're grabbing a celebratory drink right now or sometime later today.
