If going all the way to Destin, then hit up Dewey Destiny Seafood, Crab Island location (not Destin Harbor). Royal Red Shrimp and a bucket o’ beers FTMFW

Old Bay Steamer Fort Walton. They may not be open for lunch though.

Stretch your legs on Dauphin in Downtown Mobile. Several good places across all price ranges, Noble South is my favorite, but not really a kids joint. Maybe Wintzels although touristy.

Downtown Fairhope has a ton of options. Dragonfly is my favorite. Old 27 Grille is on 181 heading towards 98 is a pretty cool place. Also Polifax in Downtown Pensacola is a neat street downtown with a ton of restaurants. It’s also right along the way.

Boudreaux's in Daphne is right off the interstate (less than 20 seconds south). It's on the bay, and has a decent brunch. It's advertised as a jazz brunch, but they just put the radio on a jazz station.
Food and views are great though.

The Grand had a nice brunch layout last time I was there....in fact, it was good. This was two years ago.

You need to pick something right off of I-10. Sunday summer traffic in that corridor is absolutely brutal with everyone going to and leaving the beach areas.
