This is supposed to be a big year for recruiting. Louisiana is loaded.
IF O can hold this class together and continue to add, we should finish the year ranked somewhere in the 5-10 ranking range. That is a respectable finish.
We are not “killing it”.
Programs like Georgia ( and, of course Ala., Ohio State, etc) are killing it.
O gets credit for improving over last year, particularly if he can do something he has not yet accomplished: restocking a stable of elite RBs.

A first year Saban inheriting LSU’s last team to have a losing season is a liiiiittttttttttlleeeee different than Edward selling Alleva and the fans on “continuity” and “competing for championships”.
But I know you and many, many others will continue to use that game to say SEE! ANYONE CAN LOSE TO ANYONE AT ANY TIME, so might as well just skip over reading this post.

You're right he hasn't finished........kids still have to sign on signing day. Orgeron is having a good run so far but nothing is done until that LOI is signed.

He’s done a great job recruiting lately and seems to be trending up. If it doesn’t translate on the field, does it really matter?

I didn't want O as Head Coach, that's for damn sure! But I wouldn't call myself a Hater, I want the man to succeed. This recruiting class looks F'n Great, but its July. Lets wait until signing day. Also, this is one of the best La classes in years and has been talked about for 3 years to be good for LSU. Props to O for keeping Par, that's not an insult. I know some will take it that way.
If you want O haters to give him props, don't call for it in JULY. He needs to go out win games, win BIG games, and Dominate the scrub schools! Does that mean a perfect season? No, not at all. But he will not get Props from people he were completely against his hiring bc the recruiting class looks good in JULY.

I think I've been pretty lenient on O and give him props when due, but these ridiculous threads need to stop. He's done well with some big recruits. There have and will be misses too that we should have gotten so you may want to wait and see.
I'll sing his praises if he gets Sopsher, Palmer and Cain/Emery along with a couple other big names we should be able to pull.
But, he needs to put a solid product on the field in 2018 to attract the remaining big targets and then we should all be happy. If not, none of this matters.
