I met a SEAL several years ago that had just received the Silver Star. His buddy was telling the story of how they were all in a firefight in Iraq and the guy kicked a door in to get out of the alley where they were pinned down. There were four bad guys in the room as he burst in. He shot two and his rifle went dry and he ended up tangled up with the other two and killed them both with a knife.
I 100% believe this wasn't just a "war story" because he wasn't telling the story himself, the action was cited when he got the Silver Star and lastly because you could look at the guy and say "this dude would kill two people with a knife." I commented that I bet the fourth dude was just trying to get out of the room after the first three went down.
