It’s a new day for the gunners mate.

But as an Arsenal fan I would be first to admit we have done nothing but disappoint their fans last 5 years or more. We have a beautiful history and can play a beautiful game on occasion but we have sucked lately

Tottenham is about to be the epicenter of American Football in England with our new stadium.

And Harry Kane.

But if you’re looking for a team to buy the best players in the world, then look somewhere else.

There's also a bunch of likable players on the squad

Plus it appears Tottenham is the team everyone loves to hate

Tottenham earns more ire and hatred than they will ever earn cups and titles

Didn't Everton support Alfie Evans?

Yup. That narrows it down for me. Everton.
Sometimes sports can mean more than just sports.

I pull for American players that are awesome in their community. I think picking a soccer team on similar principles makes sense for me instead of picking randomly or based on current players.

Just get up in the morning and watch the matches. For me I quit watching American pro sports at that time except for the Saints. Just enjoy the matches, maybe find a place like Finn’s. And don’t say “I’m not supporting the Yankees”, let it come to you and if it’s United or Liverpool or somebody like that just roll with it. Never support a player though because if he’s really good he’ll probably move at some point.

Everton is fine. You will never win anything but they play hard

and you get the added benefit of lots of opportunities to take a "sad nap" after the Everton match

Every 4 years during the World Cup I say I'm going to get into Premier League Soccer but never do. This is the year guys. Help me out. Friends have recommended Tottenham and Arsenal but those are their teams. How can I pick the team I want to support?

I made this same thread a year ago. I watched a whole lot of games and after about 3 weeks I settled with Liverpool as my team. Just do the same when the season starts and you'll know.

I decided to pick an EPL and German team.

I'm down to Wolves or Newcastle. Newcastle has super loyal fans, even thought their owner takes a dump on them 365 days a year. Wolves have owner wanting to win, like their logo, they play offensive scheme, no parking the bus shite.

German think it will be BMG, as a Missouri fan, who gets kicked in the nuts every season, i feel it's same being BMG fan. Potential, but they just disappoint, and kick right to the groin.

It's been an interesting ride the last few years.

In EPL, have an owner wanting to win, a good coach, and some players who are pretty good. They can build off their Championship win.
nobody pick Wolves until we prove we're not going down... maybe 20 points by the New Year or so

basically be original and don't choose
Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool or Tottenham.

I think that leaves the only other Premier League ever-present team as Everton, so maybe them? Unfortunately Goodison Park is a shithole with about 4,000 'restricted views' I.E. you're stuck behind a major supporting pole. Newcastle have great fans who believe their own hype a bit too much (about being great fans) with a proud legacy of disappointment, although Benitez is a genuinely great manager. Huddersfield's fans are genuinely great although Huddersfield is basically the English equivalent of bumblefricknowhere. West Ham and Fulham are worth a look. Fulham have perhaps the most well behaved and reserved fans in England, West Ham just moved to the Olympic Stadium and play in East London which is now the up and coming part of the city.

Take your pick.
