Republic Services missing trash pickups in Ascension

We have been having major issues the past month. I think it's been 12 days since their last pickup for me. They keep coming up with constant excuses. Anybody in BR having issues?

Republic Services is a horribly ran company. I’ve fired them for dumpster service and now they are threatening to sue for breach of contract. They missed pick up for residential and were fined thousands by local government.

Yes I live in BR.
Going on 1 week.
This happens all the time if you don’t live inside the city of BR.
Maggots are on the can now.
Yeah, Republic Services and Mayor SWB keeping BR trashy or Tra’ Shay!
I think if people would pull the EBRP solid Waste contract you would see Republic Services does not follow the rules. They just have them the contract which seems like something green that changes hands might come into play.
They are not suppose to have trucks over 6yrs old in the fleet. That leak on I-110 a few weeks ago where the truck leaked hydraulic fluid all over the road was over 6yrs of age then those people that cars were damaged can really have fun with them and EBRP metro council.
Going on 1 week.

They suck in Baton Rouge too.
Once they put the dumpster back too far under power lines and refused to dump it for safety reasons

If you read the back of the contract if it is commercial service you have to notify them in writing for each time they miss by certified mail. After 3 times then you can claim violation of the contract with proof of the complaints by certified mail.
I would read and see if the residental contract is the same.
It would be funny if the people having problems in Ascension would do a bulk certified mail complaint.
I would also see if they have a legal contractors license in Ascension parish to operate as a solid Waste hauling company. A lot of companies do not do this and then complain to parish council about this so they get involved.
If people would do that then their goose is cooked.

Ive had the same issue in Ascension. Since the next day is when the recycling truck always comes at 4:45am, I just end up leaving my trash out and typically that truck will dump the trash. It seems like once a month or so our trash isnt picked up.

Republic services my business. The last few weeks, I’ve gotten voice messages that there would be potential service delays. Maybe they are short on functioning vehicles or staff or both?

Don’t switch to waste pro. They avg about 1.33 of their supposed 2 pickups per week.
I keep them because it’s only about $5/mth more and even at 1.33, they’re still better than all the others that come once/wk.

In BR we had to call 311 because of continuous missed weeks of debris trash. I wound up being given the cell phone guy for someone in charge. When I told him about it he said, "we need to add that to contract". Ummm, why wasn't it on there before? Something strange is definitely going on around here...

It’s so gross. We kept getting messages promising pickup, so the can has stayed at the road. Awesome to have rotting shite in 100 degree heat.
Our neighbors called a valet trash company that does curbside pickup for around $20. I’m close to doing the same.

I am telling you guys pull the 2005-2015 initial contract. See all the violations they done.
Pull the 2015-2018 renewals.
Then pull the present 10 yr contract started March 2018.
The start asking questions they will try to side track you.
This would show you that someone is allowing them to do what they want with no enforcement.
Look at how many apartments and city parish properties they get under this contract. It is the golden ticket contract in the state. City parish bows down to Republic Services doing business as BFI instead of the other way around.
All I have to say is why was kip Holden so outspoken about the council signing a new 10 yr contract under his last term?
Think about it guys.

City of Thibodaux ran them off this past year. I don’t remember any problem I had personally but I think they got tired of all the phone complaints
