I can vouch for this. Canned Waste Pro months ago in AP. The free 'recycling service' pretty much disappeared a long time ago. They would skip us weeks at a time. So I quit recycling and just put everything in the trash. Then they started missing regular trash pickups almost every week. They'd show up a day or two late if they showed up at all. I complained several times and they would always give me an attitude filled excuse about being shorthanded. I got sick of it and switched to Dale's. They only come once per week but the can they give you is huge and they always show up.

I'm glad Dale's is still consistent. I had them years ago. We only get once per week with Republic (if they show up), so no loss there. We need to switch.

Republic was the servicer for Gwinnnett County in Georgia. I think they still are (our local municipality does their own thing). They would miss days from time to time, but they would always leave an automated message saying that trash pickup would be delayed or late.
Our current servicer (Advanced Disposal) has never missed a pickup in 5 years.
We had Allegiance Sanitation for a while...they were terrible. Missed all kinds of days and ended up giving us refunds on our fees on multiple occasions.

They told us too many of their drivers were sick to keep schedule

Republic Services/Allied Waste is pretty bad
Don't even have a local physical address to go into.
They took our trash can by accident this year and it took over a month to get them to replace it. I had them credit my account for missed pickups, but not sure it was even enough.
Oh and if your trash bin gets lost/stolen you have to contact the police, get a simple police report, then you have to contact the parish number Republic Services gives you and give them the police report number and then they will send you out a new bin.
I doubt anyone needs to know all that, but in case you do.. because when I first reported my bin missing to Republic Services they acted like they were sending me a new one.. then when I called back someone else explained all that to me.

These are government contracts. Go look at how most companies not in government contracts conduct business. And the thing about private companies that people like a lot? You, the individual can fire them

They were picking up garbage and recycling with the same truck the other day. I don’t care I just wanted both cans out of yard

Haven’t had a problem with Republic in 4 years until the last month. I’ve had to call them every week for missing my entire street. My recycling has been out since Thurs. I called them Friday, site supervisor was supposed to call me. Nothing, and recycling is still by the road full.

We got a robocall today saying trash would be picked up by the end of the day (Pville). 8:52p and nothing yet. Why even bother calling to say that? 
I miss the twice weekly trash pickup in EBR. Going 2 weeks between pickups when they miss one is killer.

Republic Services, Aramark, and all these big out of state companies come in and get bids and jobs and get their hooks into politicians then they stay forever. Services decline; yet the get retained even if they aren't low bidder.

City of Lafayette just fined the frick out of them here for the same thing. Their leadership must suck wholeheartedly
On another note- I’ve been in my house 3 years and my trash has been picked up every week- I also don’t have an account with them and haven’t paid them a cent.

The missed me again in EBRP.
This will be 3rd time in two weeks.
Hopefully they can make it this Thursday or the maggots will take off with my garbage can.

They are solid for me. Our neighborhood has like 450 houses so maybe we are a highly visible place to miss

Nope not included. About a year and a half in I just got a little flyer with a rubber band on my trash on pick up day. I threw it in the dumpster and hadn’t heard from them since. I thought it was included so I had a pretty good laugh when I got the flyer.
