You have 45 days post draft to turn 21 and the rule still applies. Watson will turn 21 in a month

Watson turns 21 on June 25.

I thought it was something along those lines

Maybe a little high on Watson/Duplantis, Feduccia definitely. Sanders could go even higher IMO.

Geez, let's hope this is very wrong

Feddy and Sanders are both going, both are poor students and really struggle in the class room. Neither want another year of school. Watson is coming back, Dup is not getting much love from scouts and will most likely return. Hess is 50-50. Could get drafted based on size and potential. Very good chance he's back. Petersen and Nowak are no longer on team

That's a really deep pitching class. 6 pitchers from rounds 3-10. Hopefully we get most of them. Based on what I've read in this thread...it looks Levi Kelly is the only guy that's assumed gone.

We need C.J. Willis bad.

Before people freak out, this Taylor Petersen, not Todd Peterson...thought i would get that out of the way.

Good to hear about Watson and Dup. Fgured we'd only get 1 year out of Sanders. A little surprised Feduccia is giving up, but i'd be a little worried if we didnt have a better catcher by next season anyways. Losing Doolittle hurt before this year

I know this is probably a pipe dream but holding out hope that Turang drops to the bottom of the 1st or into the second rd. Fingers crossed we get Cabell.

Based on his zero pitches to Oregon St, it could have easily been Todd.

If only Todd threw 18 innings of scoreless baseball against Oregon State we might have pulled off a win in 1 of the 2 games

I knew when I saw who the original poster was that this thread would turn into a tard fest. It only took him 2 pages.

supposedly has a high number and wants to make it to campus

quote:

P Will Ripoll, River Ridge (La.) Curtis High School, seventh round

Size is something that will keep him from being drafted high enough to go.

quote:

P Chase Costello, Pompano Beach (Fla.), tenth round

Injured his pitching hand and hasn't been able to throw for scouts lately, which could help him slip far enough to make it to campus, also a legacy.

quote:

C C.J. Willis, Ruston (La.) High School, seventh round

Injured much of his senior year, but has LOUD tools in raw power and arm. Definite risk.

MLB has P - Cole Henry rated at #137. That puts him in the first 5 rounds if true.

Where did you read that?

It's an older article from last Sept but here ya go. LINK
quote:

“My dad is an LSU alum,” Marceaux said. “I’ve grown up loving LSU and LSU baseball. I’ve been to plenty of games. I went on a visit in August (2015), right after they offered me and it just stood out. I felt right at home. I knew I wanted to call LSU home.” Marceaux loves LSU so much, in fact, that he is considering skipping his senior season entirely to get to the college early. That would make him ineligible for the upcoming draft, but (he hopes) put him in a purple and gold uniform sooner. “I am considering it,” he said. “There’s a possibility. There’s an opportunity. It kind of hit me that it’s not fair to my high school teammates to just kind of walk out on them. I’m not proud of that. But it’s an opportunity that not everybody gets. You can only imagine the decision I have to make.”

Also,
quote:

There is consensus on the state's top high school prospect. Destrehan pitcher Landon Marceaux is ranked as the No. 109 overall prospect by Baseball America and No. 117 by MLB.com. Marceaux, a 6-foot, 180-pound LSU signee has a fastball that has topped out at 94 mph. He is considered to be a tough sign and that could affect his draft status.

From what I’ve read today, I think Watson is the only for sure goner. Still 50/50 on Hess and maybe 40/60 staying for Duplantis.

Total crapshoot though.

Edit:forgot about Sanders. He’s likely gone as well

It is a structure that has lasted for a long time this far. No reason as to why it wouldn’t work anymore
