To each their own, man. Eat what you enjoy. But I will say if you ever have the chance, try doing a meal like this once. It’s certainly not an everyday thing (for me, at least ) and it’s a neat experience.

I knew my eggs had been missing something. And now I feel like such an idiot for not setting them in a bowl of hay prior to eating. Thanks OP!

I've done it several times in the kitchen at Emeril's and it was great every time. I was stuffed, though, and couldn't eat all of everything. Its lot of fun.

I will be honest, there is no way my palate is sophisticated enough to enjoy that.

Same for me. Looks like a special night though!

Beautiful plates!

My main squeeze and I have been talking about doing this at the Tasting Counter in Somerville...it happens to be in the same building as my brewery so I'm hoping I can sweet talk Chef into a lil discount .

It's very expensive for dinner but surprisingly affordable for lunch.

Yeah I think a weekday lunch at Tasting Counter is only like $70/person. Downside is it's only a 3 course meal.

We haven't been either, but have been wanting to go. Dinner on a weekend is like $210/person so maybe for a different special occasion.

If you get a discount buy 4 tickets and we'll meet you there.

Looking at the dish, I see radish, carrot, cucumber or zucchini, microgreens.. then the stuff he mentioned in the caption.

You don't eat raw veggies?

Yep.
We did the tasting in Commanders kitchen and by like the 8th course I was getting full. Then they brought out one of every dessert that had that night. Felt horrible because I couldn't eat most of those.

Great post and pics OP. Probably a little too gourmet for me, but it still looks like you had an amazing meal.

Estimate on the cost per person? I know it's for 4 people for the table.

Also OP, looks amazing! Sounds like a damn good time!

In the past, I've been told $125 per person excluding tax, tip and wine pairings, if you want them, or cocktails. Could have gone up a bit since I last heard.

Damn dude. That look awesome. Why didn’t we go somewhere this nice when I was in Boston?

Congrats on the one year. You’ve set the bar pretty high for years 2-50. Rookie move.

You’re right I really screwed myself over.

It’s actually right next door to the Pru.
