Did anyone really expect him to commit so soon anyway? I mean this is a big decision for the kid, moving far away from home and into a totally different environment takes some thought and prayer for a lot of people.

Relocate his home and entire family like they did for Tua.

At the moment, yes. The decision is being made between LSU and Cincy. Only was looking outside those 2 if these 2 options weren't a fit for him. Other teams have inquired, but no other visits planned. Cincy thinks he was theirs to lose going into the weekend, but the staff blew he and his dad away all weekend. There is a lot to be said about his comfort level with Fickell and not having to be far from home, but the LSU angle is also huge. Like I said, now we wait. Pass on what else I can when I can.

So choosing to come to LSU is an “irrational decision”? Oh, wait. We do have Ed Orgeron as our head coach stil. My apologies.

- He wanted a guarantee to start..
- Dad wants Cincy...
- Didn’t want to relocate...
- LSU doesn’t have a relationship with him...
- Sounds like we did all we could...
- the sec would eat his arse alive this year..the guy is going to cinci...he wouldnt make us any better...repeat after me..... "I will not drink the koolaid anymore"....
- To be honest, I’m starting to feel that Cincinnati is the best place for this young man. That’s a lot of pressure to deal with. Moving to a new state, playing in the toughest conference in Football, no guarantees you would start, and your Father is completely against the move. [Of course there’s all the pressure.. nothing like starting a football game at QB]
- He has one year to show the NFL what he can do. If he comes to LSU and sits, that’s one year. If he goes to Cincinnati to play and performs the way he believes he can, he will be gone after one year. He does not want to sit again. I don’t blame him. [kind of agree with this except, this team has no starter and the Cincy starter had a very solid year LAST SEASON].
- Texas de Brazil - Hmm wouldn’t be my choice of where to take him. Those places are all over the country.. should have been back room at ruffinos with Ruffin himself stopping in [Its the food]
- Did it ever occur to any of you provincial baws that some people wouldn't want their child to actually live in Louisiana? [ Idiot if idiots posted this beauty like he is 9 and will be here for eternity instead of a year or maybe 2. Hilarious]
- Home (and mom/dad) is the great equalizer that almost no recruiter can match. We’ve managed to pull some kids from out of state, but some kids just flat out want to stay close to home. It’s why we rarely get California kids from the other side of the country... P
- Given the empty cupboard Coach Orgeron was handed and the rebuilding job ahead, nobody could fault Burrow for choosing the BearCats over the Tigers...
- It should be the kid's decision. Shame on him if he let's his dad choose. That said, no one really knows what's going on. O can't guarantee that he'll be the starter. He has to earn it on the field.
- His father is the DC for Ohio University. I doubt he's going to want to commute from BR to Ohio everyday during the football season. [Wow so his dad’s teams don’t play on Weekends on the road. Or at the same time as Cincy.]
- It wasn’t just about football either. He’s pursuing a masters as well. [Cincy is a better school with more options and a better academic center I take it]
- LSU is not located in Ohio. The kid's family does not live in Louisiana. No one on LSU's staff coached/has a relationship with him from Ohio State. wasn’t it discussed how LSU had a connection to him on here through one of the coaches?
- Sounds like he and his father want a sure thing which O can't give him. Burrow would more likely than not win the starting job. But maybe he has just enough self-doubt that he'd rather settle for a sure thing. I said this earlier: this would be a much bigger case of "no chest" than Gunnar Kiel.
- The mosquitoes are bad down here...

His father is the DC for Ohio University. I doubt he's going to want to commute from BR to Ohio everyday during the football season. Plus, I suspect giving the kids "toys" (i.e. Dodge Chargers) isn't going to have a huge impact on a kid whose family can likely afford such things as opposed to a poor black kid from South Georgia.

Hell, I want LSU to have a great QB. Unfortunately, regardless of what LSU does, they don't get to make the final decision.

Or hire a closer as head coach. O is reminding me of brick Haley lately.

Would love to see him come here.

Some of the comments are hysterical, as usual. The Prozac Wing won’t be happy no matter what happens, anyway. Lol

Don't know why there should be a melt. There are 3 qb's on the team. Anyone could be successful. Some teams win with good D and a QB who is a good manager of the game. Hopefully there will be an emergence of both.

Close the kid. O was hired because he was a master recruiter. It’s his job to overcome any disadvantages he encounters on the recruiting trail. especially vs group of 5 school.

Doesn’t Cincinnati play Ohio this fall?

Dad would then coach against his son.
