Taking the Boy out of Boy Scouts

The Boy Scouts of America, in its continued effort to appeal to girls, announced on Wednesday that it would drop the “boy” from its namesake program next February. The century-old organization also said that it would start welcoming older girls, opening a door for them to earn the organization’s highest rank of Eagle Scout.
I'm tired of these feminist ruining our younger generation. I don't see what the problem is... There is the Boy scouts and there is the Girls scouts that were made to be safe spaces for the boys and girls. As a boy in the boy scouts you should be able to talk about yourself in front of your own sex. If there are members of the opposite sex there it makes it harder to talk about emotions and they end up internalizing them.By making it open like this it is no longer a safe place for young men to talk about their problems without being to embarrassed to talk about it in front of the opposite sex.

Oh boy. This hasn’t already been discussed.

Do your homework...
BSA needed to make the decision to include girls due to decline in enrolling boys.
They are all for it.
We're you a boy scout? Are your sons scouts? Why do you care?

This is why you are deciding to take your boy out of boy scouts?

Curious how this subject matter could possibly involve politics.

What sucks is that in my attempt to hire only guys and avoid all the problems women bring to the office, I might accidentally hire some broad whose name is "Chris" and lists "Eagle Scout" as an achievement.

PoliBoard is a safe space for men to talk about their problems without the attendance of the opposite sex.

You put the man in Germans, so it all balances out.

Maybe it'll help these kids to not be pussies.

The ‘Scouts’ are just an opening for pedofiles anyway.

This was already discussed here of course.
FWIW the Boy Scouts have had enrollment and financial problems for awhile, they had to do something.

So... the Scouting BSA is not co-ed. Girls are allowed to have their own troops. No one is sharing their feelings with the opposite sex unless they join Venture Scouts, Explorers, or Crew (all divisions of bsa for 14 years old or older and have been co-ed for 40 years).
Even the young cub scouts which may allow girls (it is up to the charter organization), the dens are still no co-ed. Again, no child is sharing his feelings in front of the opposite sex.
The media and Internet like to blow things out of proportion.
The organization is still the Boy Scouts of America. The group of 11-18 year Olds that called themselves Boy Scouts are now going to be involved in Scouting BSA (because there will be all-girl, not-co-ed troops who will be permitted to earn the same ranks and achievements).
Think "separate but equal".
Anyone who says otherwise is lieing.

Did you seriously just imply that the worst thing about letting girls in the boy scouts is that boys won't be able to talk about their feelings?
