You left out Greenville, SC. All of the amenities of a large city in a smaller package. Mountains, golf, lakes, short drive to the beach, walkable downtown, breweries, etc. Also, it's close enough to Atlanta and Charlotte for a day trip without having to live in the larger city.

They had to fake diversity..
There's an air base nearby, I'm sure there's some diverse people there. But not a lot of gangsters.

Everybody in here with the same cookie cutter shite. Give me a place where the movers and shakers are. Big buildings and bright lights.
So any of:
NY
Las Vegas
DFW
Houston
Los Angeles
Seattle
I can respect that hustle. If I were single I'd be down for that.

San Diego would be my first choice if you could afford it. Has everything great about Cali with almost perfect weather year round, less traffic, and more affordability than LA or the Bay Area.
If you want a little of everything that is more reasonably priced, I’d say along the eastern seaboard from Virginia down into the Carolinas. Plenty of nice cities to choose from in there with tons to do and driving distance to all the outdoors activities you could want.

I'm going with Minneapolis St. Paul.
Amazing area...Falcon Heights or Eden Prairie.
Super nice people, low crime, educated population. Not a lot of negatives at all.

Ponchatoula, LA. I mean, it already has the Strawberry Festival AND a Walmart.

Very very subjective question.
Depends on what you value in a city.

I'm fond of Tuscaloosa, but I have a house by the lake which makes things quite a bit different I'd say than the south of Skyland living.
If I didn't move here to be near my kids we'd probably have ended up near the Tampa area.
There are some nice smaller communities near there.

Carriere, MS
Close to Nola for a day trip also close to the beach still has small town feel

I would love to retire in T-town. Not worry about class, just play a shite ton of golf and go to some baseball and football games at UA. I guess only Gumps would find that appealing.
