perhaps character concerns.. but i don't believe he is anything to be worried about.. the dude has not even been in trouble. not on the field and not off the field.

Yes, they would. If there’s not an edict from the top to not touch him, or some collusion here, he would have been picked by now. There’s nothing out there that bad to prevent him from being drafted
