Hayride: Are They Going To Have An Administrative Shakeup In LSU Athletics?

There are rumors to that effect – namely that Joe Alleva will be out as the athletics director sometime next month.

But the one which surfaced yesterday seemed to have a little more juice to it. We heard it from a source connected to LSU who has been right several times before on matters like this one – that source told us about former assistant athletic director Eddie Nunez taking the New Mexico AD job almost a week before it happened, for example – and when we checked it out with our other contacts two of them reacted with “Yeah, I heard that as well.”
This rumor has it that with the Board of Supervisors getting ready to experience a big changeover in June – Scott Ballard, Lee Mallett, Stanley Jacobs, Ann Duplessis, Mary Werner, Jim McCrery, Rolfe McCollister and the student member Lauren Johnson are all slated to see their terms end on June 1 – the half the board who faces replacement is interested in making a few changes on their way out.

Would be a great start.

I sure hope so, but it sounds an awful lot like Hayride’s source is TD

That was my first thought.

The 9th Connection was correct. Or the hayride publishers get their news from The Rant. I've seen them quote stuff from here before

Hayride was somewhat in-tune & connected with Miles' firing fiasco (which is the #1, not only, but #1 reason we have Orgeron now) in 2015.
He's on shaky ground. Shaky ground can come apart at any moment. If Hayride is on to smoke, there probably is a fire somewhere.

Has hayride been correct about anything ever?

Will Pomansky be out too?
The Miles fiasco and Johnny Jones hire brought the good ole boy network back into power. It's bad for LSU because this football program is slowly going back to early 90's days. We all know how that turned out.

This is the part that gives me SOME hope that this might have legs. Although I've come to view the Hayride as the equivalent of The Onion, so....
ETA: This would be a step in the right direction, but the article says FKA (and BOS) would head the search for the new AD. FKA is the other who needs to GO. Chop off the head of the snake. He is a cancer to this university.
And my pick for new AD would be Woodward. But I really don't see him leaving TAMU.. unless he really wants to come home and rebuild his alma mater.

I normally use the Hayseed for nothing better than to wipe my arse, but I admit, this article was measured and somewhat thoughtful.
That Alleva is on shaky ground and there is a move afoot to oust him is just about fact.
The question is, how much momentum that move has for something to happen at the end of this academic year.

The hayride is about as reliable as an anonymous poster on here. Hell that 9th connection guy is probably the writer of the article

Seven of those seats on the LSU board will be appointed by Gov. John Bel Edwards.
quote:
And if Alleva were to leave, finding that new director of athletics would be a summer project headed up by school president F. King Alexander and members of the Board of Supervisors, half of whom would be newly appointed by Edwards.

LSU should have gotten rid of that clown a few years ago.

If Alleva is out, O won't survive the year. No new AD is going to tie his success to that oaf.
