That was never the position I was defending. It is sufficient to argue that his role is beyond his credentials, and that it is an embarrassment to the program and LSU that he is employed as such.

am as comfortable with that as you are comfortable with people on the rant who have zero experience in either playing major level sports or running major level sports programs telling us how they should be handled.

You are comparing people that have no role inside the program and stating their opinion to someone who has the job title Special Assistant to the Head Coach that does in fact work in the Football program. You can’t possibly be that obtuse. So I’m gonna assume you’re just taking the view that if the posters you disagree with so much hate the guy he must not be so bad, you can’t possibly be so stupid as to compare message board posters to a guy with an actual job in the department

Dude, the guy is in a position of power... You must have missed my questions earlier. Ok here it goes again:

If you want to argue that people are over exaggerating his importance that’s fine. Or that for all we know his job is getting coffee and picking up Os dry cleaning or ordering lunch that’s cool but this notion that we have no experience so there fore can’t criticize him for having no experience is just asinine and frankly a lazy argument.

Alexander hiring a new AD scares the shite out of me. This has one of those "be careful what you wish for" feelings.

F. King isn't going anywhere, nor can any public pressure make him. JBE was always going to a be a problem with this timeline.

I mean, we could hope to keep Alleva and O for a few years until JBE is hopefully gone (risky). Or, get rid of Alleva now and roll the dice with whatever kind of Board they assemble. Or....?

And my pick for new AD would be Woodward. But I really don't see him leaving TAMU.. unless he really wants to come home and rebuild his alma mater.
He'd leave aTm with a decent pay raise. $$$$$ talks the loudest.

I also like Dan Radakovich of Clemson (Ex-LSU Associate AD that knows the territory) and Mitch Barnhardt of Kentucky.

I'd even give Will Wade's founder a call. (Nunez)

Still wont believe any of this until it's announced.

There are very few, if any, LSU Admins that I've disliked more than Alleva. (And I've been doing this LSU thing for many decades more than I'll admit to)

Why does any body care about this? I never understood why all the Never O's get their panties an a wad over him.
He's incompetent, unqualified and a convicted felon to boot; just an Orgeron "BBQ Buddy" that needed a job. Needs to be one of the first to get the ax when it all goes down.

Of course you don't understand why DP is universally disliked.

As an LSU Alum, I'm repulsed that the LSUAD has a felon on the payroll.

Edwards hiring that many board members is a scary proposition.

We already have too many on it that don't have many ties to LSU.

But

Any scenario with getting rid of Alleva is ok with me.

If it does he'd stay at A&M because they've got way more money than us, just ask his new football coach.

And this isn’t just a political thing. If there’s a move on Alleva, there’s something bringing it on. Actually several things, but one main one stands out as an issue which could precipitate a change. That being the TAF donation deadline for football season ticket renewals passed on March 31 and the results weren’t good.

quote:

What the general public doesn’t know, and the guess is the LSU insiders do know at this point, is how big those effects are. All we hear are anecdotal stories about this person not renewing, and that – but those anecdotes definitely piled up this year. Way more than ever before in recent times.

yup

quote:

If you’re hearing rumors Alleva is out now, it could well be that the season ticket non-renewals are why. If that’s a big number – if it’s 15 or 20 percent, for example – then that right there could well be enough to generate a majority on the Board for LSU to make a change.

glad i took action and was a part of getting alleva fired.

Likewise. I wasn’t going to support this administration any longer.

“But, but, but, there are plenty people lined up to buy your tickets.”
Well, apparently there aren’t.

bingo, if there were, the last few years the wait list would have continued costing you money to be on and season tix would never make it to the public for sale only individual games. LSu contacted people over and over basically begging for you to renew. It speaks volumes. It is past time to clean house and start over.
