As an LSU Alum, I'm repulsed that the LSUAD has a felon on the payroll.

One can't help but wonder if you would be as repulsed if he had produces a binder ( sorry but the binder meme is just so funny) that would have resulted in the hiring of YOUR choice for head coach.

No need to reply. I think I know the answer.

I’m super late to this thread, but does anyone else have a huge problem with the fact that members on their way OUT might be making this decision? It removes all ability for political accountabilty. That’s not how this works.

LMAO. Nothing is going to happen. Like people saying the U.S. will go to war with Russia....no just not going to happen. State has a liberal governor that backs both Fking and Alevva. Stop it. I'll believe it when it happens. Hope it happens but come on man. That's like saying I'll graduate on time...NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

Sort of refreshing after all those whose opinions are shaped by an internet fan site instead of thinking on their own isn't it?

His downfall as head coach was he hired his buddies and wouldn’t fire them when they didn’t produce.

His downfall was that he hired people who fit his philosophy and wouldnt admit his philosophy no longer worked. Les made some damn good hires throughout his tenure.

That being said. I still want fresh blood in the program not a retread.

it’s really not news that Alleva is out. He’s been a lame duck AD since Troy.

This.. I’ve been hearing for months that he’s out at the end of the school year. Sorry to burst a lot of your bubbles, but also heard from the same person that Woodward does not want to come back and work for this leadership.

would be no surprise. A&M gives him everything he needs to succeed, most importantly being a full commitment/buy in from the powers that be (aka big money).

LSU certainly is not able to make that commitment as we've seen by the decisions that have been made in recent years.

A new AD is the best thing that could happen to LSU athletics. As long as the new AD kisses Will Wade's arse a little, I'm good. A fresh set of eyes, a new perspective would be a very good thing for LSU.

Seven of those seats on the LSU board will be appointed by Gov. John Bel Edwards.

This bothers me. He will only replace these people with people even closer to his liking i.e. progressive ideologues who don't give a shite about LSU and LSU sports.

Kinda like you chose not to reply to my question??

Here, I’ll repost it for you:

“I take it you are not familiar with the chronology of Ed Orgeron being named permanent head coach?”

There are rumors to that effect – namely that Joe Alleva will be out as the athletics director sometime next month.
