Damn. This one is hard.

Loved him in FMJ and The Siege of Fire Base Gloria, and Toy Story, and damn just about everything he was in.

Played one of tGOAT horror villains in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboots.

He made Full Metal Jacket the classic that it's become. Everyone watches it for his great lines in the first part of the movie.

Jesus H. Christ. He now climbs obstacles like old people frick. This short-dicks every cannibal on the Congo!

But always remember this: Marines die. That's what they're here for. But the Marine Corps lives forever, and that means you live forever. RIP, do you maggots understand that?

Ermey's military career was cut short by injuries, and "I had a family and had to make a living. But every time I quit, I'd get invited back to do something else," he told USA TODAY in 2006. "Life is just (expletive) beautiful. I couldn't have written a better script."

He is obviously known for his epic role in Full Metal Jacket, but he was awesome in The Siege of Firebase Gloria.
