How is wisdom developed?

Sitting here thinking about the difference between being wise, being intelligent, and being knowledgeable...
Everyone always talks about how millennials are the worst and how they make all of these poor decisions and this, that, and the other. I don't disagree, sometimes my generation can be the worst.
My thing is, though... millennials have to be the most informed generation to date. We have been brought up in a world where there is access to a universe of information in the palm of your hand. If wisdom isn't about knowing things, what is it about? You would think that there must be some correlation between the two, right? Reading about other peoples lives and experiences at a rate like never seen before must aid in some way in eventually making wise decisions for yourself.
At least that's what you would think. I suppose reality may tell a different story

Time, reflection, and prudence.

True. But what about the veracity/legitimacy of said information? Y'all consume just as much dog shite as you do filet mignon.

Learning through your own life experience, IMO.

The information is ready and answers are given to you on the internet. Before, you have to do the research yourself.

Knowing what to do (or not do) with that knowledge.

You can google how an ax works, don’t mean you know how to swing one

Lack of experience leads to bad decisions.
Bad decisions lead to wisdom.
Wisdom leads to good decisions.
All the knowledge in the world is 'useless' until you get out there and use it.
You will likely learn more in your first 6 months out of college than you learned in 4 years in College.

Wisdom is knowing you don't put tomatoes in a fruit salad.

By doing stupid shite and surviving.

Wisdom isn't about knowledge.
It's an accumulation of common sense through experience and trial and error that comes with time

While millennials are very capable in some areas, they are extremely deficient in others, like many generations. Talk about people that aren’t self sufficient. I’m curious how many know how to change a tire without google.

Precisely..Wisdom is the practical application of knowledge.
my $.02...So it won't matter if you take in good or bad information. If you apply what you know in a practical way you are wise. If you take in crap information, the practical application is to discard it. Good information is applied in a way to benefit you.

Experiences over time with equal parts success and failure. Awareness and introspection to be able to identify and honestly assess the former.

Wisdom requires time. Information is great but serves no purpose without the critical thinking skills and living experience to evaluate and use said information.

Wisdom is in tide pods. The more you eat the more wisdom you acquire.
