Lol yeah that's definitely not just salary. That's what I'll have left after buying furniture and things like that after salary + signing bonus.

Interest rate is 4.3%. And that's the whole trouble is that I know I need to have 2-3 months in savings but the idea of paying interest just irks me

What to do with new money

So I'm about to graduate, and I'll be taking with me about 20k in student debt. My first check will give me ~12-15k to play with after all initial purchases necessary.

Question is -- how much of that should I use to pay down student debt? My goal is obviously to be debt free ASAP, but I don't want to be irresponsible and leave myself with none of that invested/in savings. Any advice for a young buck?

How is wisdom developed?

Posted by NewBootGoofin on 4/12/18 at 11:35 am
Sitting here thinking about the difference between being wise, being intelligent, and being knowledgeable...

Everyone always talks about how millennials are the worst and how they make all of these poor decisions and this, that, and the other. I don't disagree, sometimes my generation can be the worst.

My thing is, though... millennials have to be the most informed generation to date. We have been brought up in a world where there is access to a universe of information in the palm of your hand. If wisdom isn't about knowing things, what is it about? You would think that there must be some correlation between the two, right? Reading about other peoples lives and experiences at a rate like never seen before must aid in some way in eventually making wise decisions for yourself.

At least that's what you would think. I suppose reality may tell a different story
Heard this the other day and it really stuck me...

Everybody has their own stuff, but the reality is that almost no one cares. When you realize that fact and realize that the vast majority of your complaining is just you complaining to empty space, you learn a lot about what it means to be positive.

A problem is only a problem if there is no solution. Despite having lived a relatively privileged life, I've learned a lot about being positive and trying to complain less. Makes your days much better to try and not dwell on the negativity in life

Our QB Situation for Next Year

Posted by NewBootGoofin on 4/11/18 at 2:24 pm
I know, I know... another QB thread

My sauces are telling me that McMillan is actually making a strong push for the job next year. In a way, it does make a little bit of sense. Starting a younger QB (MB) could cause LN and JM to transfer. This would leave us with only one scholarship QB on the roster and could pose a huge problem. I know that all of the hype is surrounding Myles, but is it possible that Justin gets the start, at least against Miami?
Wont this exhibit just cause some more plastic to wash back into the ocean?
When you realize that problems are only problems if there are no solutions, and that there is a solution for almost everything.

Babble son, do your thing and make that money. I took an offer in October and I'm still listening to what companies have to say
