I don't get the hate for LA on here. It's objectively one of the best areas in the county... if you aren't poor.

No idea but I bet people post a bunch of great, appropriately rated American cities.

Los Angeles is a great city, and honestly under appreciated for everything it has to offer.

Austin would be my vote. It’s a very nice city, definitely best in Texas, but the hype it gets is out of control for a place that gets as hot as it does in the summer.

LA and San Francisco... frick both of them and the people leaving them for texas. We need to establish a quota on Yankees and Californians living in the south.

Austin is way too expensive for being in the middle of Texas. That's my biggest issue with it.

Well, that and the people.

To be overrated, by definition, it has to be rated fairly highly , right ? So I go with the three highly regarded cities I personally don’t enjoy. I mean - saying Baton Rouge or Houston or Memphis is kind of a non- starter. I’m not a fan of Seattle, Miami or San Francisco but obviously a lot of people are .

I guess I was thinking in terms of living there, not visiting. I like the place, don't get me wrong. Just don't understand how anyone lives there.
