Texas is highly overrated overall by delusional Texas people

Chattanooga is overrated as well, but it isn’t known enough to be even close to most overrated. Nashville would definitely win that title in Tennessee, I couldn’t stand to live there.

I wouldn’t put Atlanta king of the southeast, probably go New Orleans just because it’s mostly a shithole but still people flock to it.

Don’t you have to be regarded decently to be overrated?

DC is bad. I would say LA and Austin. LA outside of a few areas is almost third world bad and Austin while I like the outdoor activities in the area the people are weird and rude....too many Cali libs moving there.

The people that say ATL is overrated have only come in town for a game, exclusively stayed downtown, or flown threw the airport.

But, I’m glad y’all don’t like it. We don’t need anymore people coming for jobs.

This.

Vacationers flock to it, but companies don’t. They flock to Atlanta. Atlanta is undoubtedly the king of the southeast. It’s the financial center of a whole region of the country. New Orleans is a business backwater with a small and dwindling population whereas Atlanta is in a perpetual boom and every company in the country has a regional office there.

Would say Charlotte is a bigger financial center than Atlanta.

I'm shocked that Atlanta is getting so many upvotes on this board.

Shocked, I tell ya!

I mean king of the overrated. Atlanta has a lot going for it to earn more of it's rating. I have a lot of New Orleans bias being from there as well.

When it comes to a good place to live and work, Atlanta is lightyears ahead of New Orleans.

I think Las Vegas is one of the most overrated cities in the US.

I've read many comments about LA being vastly overrated. Having lived in Southern California for 7 years while in the Air Force, the biggest pitfall of the LA Basin is traffic and the cost of living. That being said, there are a lot of things that make the LA area a not so bad place. You have the beaches, places like Venice Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, hiking in the Hollywood Hills, Runyon Canyon, etc., the Angeles National Forest, San Gabriel and Santa Monica Mountains.
