By who? I don't think I've ever met a person with something nice to say about L.A., including people in southern CA.

In fact, I think it is a bit over the top considering there are a lot of areas in greater L.A. that are very nice. Took me 4 visits before I ever ventured to Hollywood Blvd., and yeah, if that is what people are seeing when they go I see where they're coming from.. but that is no different than only visiting Bourbon St. and calling New Orleans a dirty 24-7 party.

I would have to see a list of how the cities are rated before I could give my opinion on how overrated a city may be.

Jackson, MS. Its not that anyone rates it high, it just always finds a way to be shitter than people’s low expectations. Kinda impressive actually

You know how you go into chain hotels like a Hampton in cities, and they'll have big framed photographs of their respective cities? For example, you stay at a Hampton in the Baton Rouge area, and you'll see the new bridge, the old state capitol, etc.

Another example: you stay at a Hampton in Jackson and you'll see giant framed photos of a crashed blackhawk helicopter will little africans balancing on the rotor blades.

what city have you ever been in where politics is shoved in your throat? none imo

i spent my 20s bouncing around LA and NYC and i never experienced the liberal disease.

That's kind of my point however I have had some odd conversations with people there where they clearly thought Louisiana's white population was a homogenous white supremacist movement. They were trying to bait me into saying something ignant. Pretty strange stuff.

I met a Jewish couple from Brooklyn a while back who said that when they drive from houston to Nola, they get worried about stopping for gas or food. They think anti Semitic hillbilly white guys are just waiting to snatch them. I told them they have nothing to fear, no one cares if they’re Jewish, and they’re in more danger in New Orleans than at a gas station in Scott. They seemed surprised.

In my opinion, Orlando. I've been for work multiple times. The downtown bar scene is ok, but it's nothing I can't do anywhere else. Everything other than that is so touristy and strip mall. I think it sucks.

Lived there for four years. This is on the money. Orlando is basically the Primerica and Cutco of America.

Seattle is a poor man's Vancouver.

Vancouver is one of the most underrated cities around.

The people that say ATL is overrated have only come in town for a game, exclusively stayed downtown, or flown threw the airport.

But, I’m glad y’all don’t like it. We don’t need anymore people coming for jobs.

Atlanta is awesome in places, so many trees.

I concur with earlier comments about Orlando.

I get they hate on ATL out of jealousy. It's the same way the people here in The A (sports radio personalities specifically) hate on NOLA every time it comes up.

The people who jump at every chance to take a negative jab at Atlanta are just exposing themselves to be as big a b!@chez as those here who do the same with NOLA.
