I would like to see reduced gun violence. Especially in a city with an extremely high murder rate. Will buy more Urban South in the future.

To be fair, if you look up what US has donated to the last few years it's stuff like, prison literacy, SPCA, Hurricane relief efforts, NOLA Library, school fundraiser, etc.

And a mayor-elect that should be facing felony charges.

I really don't care that much. I'm pretty politically opinionated, and a group like MDA is probably being hijacked right now by the leftist loonies.

I'll spoil that surprise....no way charges get brought. Even though the crime was committed and admitted to. She paid it back and the current mayor has no reason to make a big deal out of it.

On a personal level, I don't care since it was paid back. Ethically, it shows what kind of person she is.

That's pretty controversial. Are you sure you want to go on record with that position?

All of the breweries I regularly visit in St Louis that have expressed a political opinion in one way has expressed one that differs from mine.

All of the breweries I don't go to in the St Louis area that have expressed a political opinion have expressed one that differs from mine.

It's never been a decision maker on where to spend my money. Their product and my experience there are the decision makers. And all of the places I frequent have good people that own them that make a sincere effort to give back to the community in which I live.

So even on this board, our intrepid posters sniff out "leftists" amd offensive political activists?

Thanks for leaving the good beer to the rest of us, you're a good american! Enjoy your Yuengling.

Meh, i'd like to see more reduced violence in general. Whether the criminal uses a gun, knife, brick, or fists, the criminals in NOLA seem to be more brazen by the day. The continual mayoral trend only excacerbates the problem.

And i don't know MDA's position because i've never heard of them before, but if it's about imposing limits and restrictions on the 2A, then i guess i'll not patronize that brewery during such events. If it's simply over greater scrutiny on background checks, then that sounds reasonable. Stop and frisk, IMO, would be more valuable and provide a greater impact, but that would try to solve the situation, not score political points, ergo, that'll never happen. FWIW, Trying to criminalize law abiding citizens does not make New Orleans safer.

Unless they refuse to sell me something due to my views being different it doesn't bother me. I don't have to give them business on that particular day.

I have no problem with drinking their beer and calling them idiots after each beer I enjoy

They decide to make a public stance, and I can decide to make a public response

Correct it is the American way... I'm not upset with them, I wish they were more neutral but it is what it is. They've donated to some charities I support and this may not be one. Doesn't mean I'm going to stop drinking their beer unless I walk in and they refuse to serve me based on my beliefs or political leanings.

That's where some of the people on this board go off the logic deep end.

I'm not upset with them either. If that's their stance, then, as you say, it is the American way to voice such a stance.

Making the choice not to frequent a place or purchase a product doesn't equate to a melt. They choose. I choose. We all choose. And we all probably have slightly different views on the whole thing.

The "snowflakes are melting" and "enjoy your Yuengling" crowd are just being intellectually lazy or are trying, and failing, to be clever.

Sounds like Huling and Landry need to make a little trip up to Hammond. Maybe a visit to Blackened Brew will knock the libtard out of them.
