All true.
I mean Peyton Manning just became a member within the past year or so. It’s not just that easy to become a member if you’re not a pro.

Pros don’t even become members. They are allowed to play under restrictions. I think Arnie, Jack, and Gary are the only pros who became actual members

I stand corrected

A friend of mine played it. He said the elevation changes in person are unbelievable and something you can’t fully appreciate on TV.

I don't think Nicklaus or Player are members. Palmer was.

I watched a caddie in 2015 drop a ball from waist height on the 13th green. The ball rolled over 75 feet from where he dropped it

I was unsure of player. I thought jack did join though. Arnie was definitely a member

You should have videoed that. It sounds mind blowing.

Although I don’t think they’re turning Jack or Gary away if they wanted to play.

I would have but you can’t bring cameras or cell phones on the grounds during the tourney

True, pretty sure past champions can play whenever they want. And also keep their lockers, but it’s a separate locker room from the members locker room

Played today and shot 74. Couldn’t get anything to fall. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

I drove past it for 1.5 years when working in Augusta, which is essentially the same thing. They have wonderful hedges along the road blocking all view of the course.

Will they ever have the course open during the summer months?

My friends dad did. He had a deal with one of the members to purchase a big commercial property.
He negotiated a round at Augusta into the deal. I thought it was ingenious to include the round. He still tells stories about how immaculate the course conditions are. He says the whole thing is a carpet of perfectly grown and groomed grass. He also says the greens are unbelievably difficult.

I heard you have to sacrifice a minority child to become a member.

I've played it a couple of times
Eta: Oh wait that was Augusta municipal golf course

I have a client in Abbeville shot a 77 from the member tees. Impressive

My grandfather did when he was alive. My moms sister married the son of a member. And not a celebrity one from somewhere else. My aunts father in law was an old school Georgia land developer who built himself up on his own and made millions.

I think you can during practice rounds.
I can't imagine why a caddie would do that during the tourney. I don't know much about golf though.
