No, no they didn't.

Do you think they even let the course pro play more than one round a year?
Posted on 4/6/18 at 11:30 am to TigerstuckinMS
I mean the course is only open for a few months anyways. Probably gets two rounds

I was thinking the same thing
Why would a caddie want a photo book of a bunch of random guys playing?

No this guy owns a small real estate company in Abbeville

Well for starters, he was in the photo book. Secondly, they didn't tell the pro shop about the book, just that they wanted to send him a thank you letter. Why the heck would they fire him?

You made it sound like he wasn’t allowed to take pictures but was secretly doing it the whole time

He took pictures that my dad and his group didn't know he was taking. They gave him the camera for some group shots. He also took shots of them hitting shots and walking the bridge and stuff.
Was just a cool story of the caddy going above and beyond what was needed. Gets turned into conversation about a guy getting fired. Well done guys

Frank Godchaux III of Riviana Foods is a member
He once took a group from Lafayette there one year and they got to stay in one of the on course cabins.

The only way to play it (other than being super rich) is to caddie there for the members during the Masters’ offseason,
You don't have to be super rich, you just have to know someone super rich who is a member AND willing to invite you
I've met a few people who play. They all were great golfers who knew the member. Member did them a solid

A guy I worked with from Atlanta said he turned his truck onto Magnolia Lane. He was immediately met by a guard who forced him to back out into traffic on Washington Road to leave. He wasn't even allowed to do a three point turn around.
So, I guess that's the closest I know of a guy who got to play ANGC.

I've heard this story, probably not true, but the story is there was this guy who Augusta denied membership to, for whatever reason. So the guy in retaliation designs and builds his own course which is supposed to be better and more beautiful than Augusta. He advertises in the area and will actually allow people to play this course for free if they choose to play at his course over Augusta.

Supposedly the guy that owns Sage Valley.

So you've heard this too?

Maybe that’s when my client got to play there, he has the score card framed in his office. 77!!

Had a client who does custom closets. He got a contract back in the 90s to do a couple lockers. Saw the course, but never got a whiff of the grass.

Otherwise you could become credentialed media for the masters. They all can play the course on Monday after the tourney
Nope. There’s a lottery. They heavily favor media that’s never played it. Guy on No Laying Up podcast got selected and played last year. Was a cool listen, his caddy was awesome and decidedly not a dick.

Correct it is a lottery type selection, what amazing is that it’s a winter course and The Masters is one of the last few weekends that it’s opened till the fall

Mobile phone traffic is insane during Masters week.
Several years ago I was working with a group that cut a deal with the Augusta National people to attach phone antennas to the water tank located at the NW corner of the property. Everything was progressing nicely until they learned a technician would routinely need to enter the grounds in order to service the equipment. No deal.
