This was one of the first news stories I can remember as a kid. Every day after school I would go to my grandfather's house until my parents got off of work. Every day I would watch the 5 pm news with my grandfather and I remember this was on the news for a very long time.

Clergy of every other faith are allowed wives and families, yet the Catholic Church insists on an antiquated lifestyle that breeds predators. Doesn’t make any sense.

I just shared this with my MIL, he baptized my wife when she was and infant at St. Rita’s off Fountainblu, uptown. My MIL and her late husband along with other members of the church quit attending his services bc he would publicly shame you in the middle of mass if your baby was crying. A few years later he was caught videotaping and having sex with young boys. This was in the late 80’s early 90’s. I’m sure some in here remember this really well. The NOLA catholic diocese does a good job trying to hide these things from the public.
