Many around the program – and outside of it – compare the scheme Ensminger is implementing

to the one Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay used last season to lead the NFL in scoring. It is described as a revamped West Coast system.
The offense is a pro-style attack, but one of its strongest elements is a hurry-up, multi-receiver package where the quarterback reads just one person – maybe an inside linebacker or deep safety – before the firing the ball. Play-action off of zone rushing is another key element, and deep balls off of bootlegs are a significant piece of the scheme, too.
Denham Spring High coach Bill Conides, who coached sophomore quarterback Myles Brennan at St. Stanislaus, mentioned the Rams’ offense during an interview with The Advocate in January.
Orgeron said his offensive staff plans to visit the Charges later in the spring. Coaches have studied “a lot of what the Saints are doing” as well, he said, again indicating a spread-type offense that relies heavily on quick and intermediate passing and scatbacks in the backfield.
Receiver route running and timing are essential in these systems. They are characteristics that new pass game coordinator Jerry Sullivan was hired to implement.
“I’m a big believer in footwork is everything, whether you’re a left tackle blocking, running back cutting or a receiver,” Sullivan said recently during an interview on ESPN 104.5 FM. “The footwork element of running routes (is) a huge element. From my perspective, that’s where we start, the foundation of everything we do in the passing game.”
Opening it up: LSU implementing new pass and run game in 'West Coast' style system

If you believe any of that is going to happen:

Love that we are being resourceful. And from the sound of what we want to run...Brennan is going to be the guy that can read and make changes on the fly.
Would love to see LN on the boots though. Goodness he just gives us so many options.

sounds lovely, we'll see what they come up with.

It’ll be refreshing to not see out Wide Reciever run 40 yards back and forth behind the QB before finally being handed the ball

Once again this will work great against most teams. But then we play Georgia and Bama who actually have a defense. What will we do to not look silly in those games. That’s what I wanna see us work on.

I like that they are looking at successful offenses and gleaning elements that they can mold into our offense. Whether they can produce a good product remains to be seen, but I have no issue with the concept.
As for QB, if they are implementing a pro/spread style offense it's going to require a QB that can read defenses, make quick decisions and is accurate. Athleticism aside, it needs to be a guy that can master all of these traits. If it's Narcisse, then great because he adds the element of running, but I want the guy that gets the ball in the playmakers' hands, whoever he is.

We won't know anything until the fall, but I would be surprised if LSU doesn't run that style of offense. They don't really have the personnel in the backfield to line up in the I and pound teams. What they do have is a glut of WR's and a QB (Brennan) whose best attributes are a strong arm and quick release.
That's why I don't buy the whole "QB race is dead even" news. That's strictly out there in an effort to keep 1 or more of the QB's from transferring. And that's completely fine, but Brennan is your QB

Unfortunately, he’s not very accurate at the moment.

The offense will go as far as Myles Brennan or Narcisse takes it. It will all boil down to QB play. Hopefully one steps up and bucks the trend.

LSU throwing short slants? Fans won’t even know what we are seeing.

Y’all being played like a fiddle by the good ole baws .
Yeah Steve E is an offensive guru of the likes of Sean Mcvay yet he’s taken the last 30 years to hide it while waiting for 0 to take over LSU. Get a damn grip y’all.

This - the offensive system, while a part of the equation, is not nearly as important as having a QB step up and take charge. We need to develop a QB. Until that happens, we will be in the same boat.

Preface - I do not intend to flame.
Reading this with no organized football experience, this appears to be hype driven. "Oh, look at what we're doing... we're studying two NFL teams that have potent offenses."
Almost like we don't have a clue what we're doing...
