People completely ignore how huge Amazon Web Services (AWS) is for cloud-computing and how much they've dove head-first into AI. Comments about its development from the Amazon side aren't far off.
But there are quantum computers out there that are literally "on ice". If they can figure them out...they're capable of doing computations and figure out complex problems that would take a cloud the size of AWS' huuuuuuuuuge array (and they're the biggest in human history; seriously its staggering) years to calculate as a whole within seconds.
Quantum Computers mayyyyyyy just be what triggers AI...and reading about them, some of their creators and even their leading experts aren't sure exactly how they'll operate if they get them up and running consistently.

Why do we need fricking robot dogs?? Or robots in general? Seems to me, we will be our own undoing as a species

Obviously AI, if not destroyed will end up controlling humans. Makes me wonder how many other planets out in the galaxy have advanced to that level. We always imagine biological aliens manning space craft and coming to earth but this would be way more plausable

Is Bezos the one who is injecting himself with blood from like 18 year olds? I know it’s one of those billionaires...hell probably all of them now.

You're telling me the blood boy on Silicon Valley is a real trend among the billionaires?

I’d have him and his dog over for BBQ and beer. Maybe he could show me how to attach a photo to my texts. Damn, I keep hitting the FaceTime call instead of just an audio call. This phone sucks. I’m going back to the flip phone. #&@*$*#*@ ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

You should read about the Fermi Paradox as it relates to AI. Basically, one of the potential great filters to life in the universe is that each intelligent civilization inevitably creates artificial intelligence that ends up destroying said civilization.

Bezos will convince us these are our friends who deliver packages to our doors and ring our doorbells.
Once people stop paying attention to them that's when they turn and slaughter us.
