You've never played in a US Open Qualifier or a Monday qualifier. It's a birdie fest since its one day,

so yes its the exact same as a monday qualifier.
Not this year. Have played in a few in the past. It is actually a lot of fun. Made it to regionals once in nineish tries. You have to go ultra low to compete - its really a monday qualifier for any PGA tour stop.
As a previous tennis player turned golfer, I highly recommend he play tennis until about 10-12. Tennis will build all the necessary muscle groups for golf without having to really work at it (working out as a child is stupid). I played tennis and golf until going full golf at 13. I am a 0 handicap, played college golf, and competed at the highest level in junior/high school golf.
Also, at age 13 I told my dad to stop teaching me because he wasn't very good and I naturally wanted to be good. If you aren't a single digit or know a shite ton about the game, take him to a pro and let the pro establish the correct habits EARLY. I still fight some bad habits.
Parents of a friend of mine were members at Lakeside - I'd play that course a few times before deciding if you want to join. I thought it was rather bland for the price

I also have a friend that is a member of GCOH and he lives behind Cottonwood. He works dtown and will swing by the club to catch a few holes few times a month.
Thought about joining GCOH or Champions but ended up moving back to Nola. My boss is a member of my current club and upon hiring said I need to become a member. Driving range is <1.5 miles from my office. Also joined as a junior member, cost 1/10th a full membership.

Alignment Made Easy

Since high school always carried two alignment sticks. Never practice without them. Just saw an ad for Alignment Made Easy Has anyone tried this before? Kind of like the versatility and some additional features it can provide in an "all in one" package. $80 steep vs $2.99 sticks from HD or Lowe's.
Did Pine Forest get wrecked during the flood? I have never heard of this place until you guys said something about it. I also never ventured that direction unless it was to play Meadowbrook before it went to trash. Circa 2008 that place was probably the best public access course in the city. Greens got destroyed by some fungus.

Also, what is the massive circular structure at Pine Forest?
TM 300’s were lasers.

I’ve played the MP30’s, Titleist T’s, and MP4’s. All incredible irons but tech is advanced so far since them. Sure it’s nostalgic to play them. I break out the titleist PT 13* when it’s very windy
Simple, do yoga. Baw out on the course head to a local yoga studio and surround yourself with bawette’s
54 was pretty normal in high school during the summer. Hell, even during ST, we have played 18 after school. All in carts. 15-18 YO

In college most likely 36 walking. 18-22 YO

Nowadays, 27-36 depending on evening schedule (I’m 29).
1) 355
2) R8
3) everything else except gt500
4) gt500
Second a lot of this (sans Bluejack - don't care how far the drive, course is unbelievable).

We need a lot more information from you to give you real advice.
If you want a true golf only experience, Golf Club of Houston or Champions Golf Club would be your best bet. Golf is #1 at both of these clubs.
A healthy balance of golf and amenities, Kingwood all day.
So much cash and time it doesn't matter - River Oaks, Houston CC, Lochinvar, etc.
Honestly, if you want bang for your buck Kingwood. 4 courses, two solid practice ranges, access to Deerwood for reduced rate. You are already a One member so could probably swing a deal there. Pool is tight and the gym is nicely done. Don't live there anymore so can't vouch for its condition post Harvey but I imagine they have done a great job cleaning it up.

Also its a route (59/69) is less traveled than 45 (Carolton/Woodlands clubs).

If you have $100k+ to burn, Bluejack all day every day.

Windance is a fantastic course. Will eat you alive if you don't strike the ball well and if you strike the ball well and putt poorly you are done too.

Great show. Story line is interesting enough but the fight scenes are what make it really worth while.
Did some work for them on set at Fort Macomb and in St Charles/John/James Parishes. The set is UNREAL. Had a green screen that was ~40/50 feet tall 100 feet wide (you will know what I am talking about if you have watched SE1)

Got into it after hearing they have a number of people from the matrix crew.

re: Need new putter grip

Gripmaster leather stitchback. Have been through maybe 3 of them in the last 15 years. If taken care of they last forever and get progressively softer, smoother, supple etc. Even tackier the sweatier you get. Couldn't ask for a better putting grip.

Or be OG and get a PING pistol grip and black out the lettering. Putts fall from everywhere when you do that.

BR is franchise/chain heaven, so TopGolf will do JUST fine. Vibe is all about hitting 10-15 balls/hour while having a few beers with the boys. Maybe have a few degenerate bets going on. A few OT6-8's walking around watching hacks shank it around.

I never turn down an opportunity to go when given the chance. Won't drive from Nola to go but when in BR, will consider 9 times out of 10.

Sun-Thurs $35/hour
Fri-Sat $45/hour

Topgolf is yards better than this place and no putting involved.

Loft 18 in Metairie

Played in a simulated golf league that is atrocious. Took 2.5 hours on a Monday night to play 9 holes in 4v4 team scramble. The tech is incredible but the sensors in front of the screen are very sensitive. Hit some mashed drives and the tee hit the sensor in front of the screen (normal tee activity) and the ball quickly duck hooked or sliced off the screen showing a -25/+25* angle of impact. Putting is a joke as there is zero feel to a 10-100 foot putt. No consistency what so ever.

Anyone else play in this or been to this place?
Thermador is made by Bosch homie.

Just ordered a 36 in column Thermador.

Best dishwasher on the market FRGR.

Interesting they only play 2 rounds. For our conference tournament always 3.
