I have nothing in common with women that call themselves feminists. I prefer to make my own decisions, about my life, my job, my family. Too many Feminists (leftists in lipstick) want to do as all leftists do - CONTROL EVERYTHING.
I'll add this. I want women to have the same rights and opportunities as any man. But my issue is that 3rd and 4th wave want a very lopsided, economically impossible version of feminism. Equal outcomes at the expense of both sexes.
Why cant both sexes just admit that we are equal under the law but have differences that make us better at certain occupations versus the opposite gender.
In truth, freedom of choice means there will ALWAYS be a higher percentage of women in some occupations than others both on the high-end and low-end of the pay scale.

According to my wife, she said she despises feminism because she doesn’t like being patronized and constantly being told that she’s a victim.
Needless to say, made me proud!

My wife is very girl power and a bit of a conservative SJW, but she thinks feminism is bullshite.

My GF is more left than I, but is 100 percent on the hates feminist train

I certainly believe men are becoming more soft as well but in some ways that's partially related to new wave feminist philosophy.
Agreed. To be blunt, we live in a gynocentric society. Men may hold more positions of direct power, but society at large operates on whats best in the interest of females.
K-12 education is centered primarily on the way girls learn (to be fair, I think this is influenced by the fact that it is a female-dominated field and that its easier for the schools to operate this way)
Look at politics.
Democrats = 4th wave feminism supporters.
Republicans = gynocentric traditional conservatives
I adore Ben Shapiro, but one of the few talking points I disagree with is his view on why marriage rates are failing. Yes, there are men who need to take more responsibility. But he underscores that most millennial women have entitled princess syndrome. Add single mothers to the mix, and the dating market isn't great for either side.

Women now make up just under 1/2 of the labor force (47ish%) but only hold 29% of key manegement positions. Worse, women hold only 16% of CEO positions. There is room for improvement there as women continue to complete degrees. While lifestyle choices made by women will likely always keep women well below the 50% mark (time off, hours worked, etc), I believe 25% is a reasonable expectation for women in CEO positions.
Eh, I think women gravitate toward certain job positions. Having quotas or expectations of certain positions is a bit silly. We don't have the same outrage when women over-represent positions in fields like nursing and teaching.

According to my wife, feminism is a waste of time. Doesn't agree with it, thinks it isn't relevant today.
Do other women agree?
As a progressive i will say that i think there are still some things that need to be addressed but you cant angrily approach it and that many of these "feminists" are trying to battle by using masculinity or condemning it. This is not the right way to go about it.
Women shouldn't try to be men to succeed. We as a society should find the balance of our stronger traits and use them together as a team

I agree that theoretically this would work but it actually happening is a challenge.
It's funny because our relationship has evolved into just what you have described. Over the years I have come to understand that there are certain things that she makes better decisions on so I trust her judgement over my own. She doesn't do so well with financial decisions and stressful situations so she relies on me when we experience these issues.

According to my wife,
The fact that your wife is allowed to have opinions and make independent decisions affecting the family finances is a direct result of the feminist demand for equal rights.

I totally agree. It's a man's world. Not saying men are better than women, but that's the natural order of things. Get over it. People trying to short-circuit the natural order need to give it a rest. It's nothing but a huge distraction and a complete waste of time. Might as well try to make water run uphill.

My wife owns a business and makes a lot more than me (I’m ok with that because I do pretty well and carry everyone on my insurance).
She thinks 99% of the crap that the MSM pushes is appalling, including feminism and all the sexual assault stories in Hollywood and against trump. And she’s not a trump lover, she’s just not an idiot who falls for the lefts next big push for votes.

I will say I'm pretty disgusted with men in general and how women are devalued, viewed as simply sex objects. Women who do duck lips in bikinis on instagram are valued more than strong women who actually accomplish things.
Society send horrible signals to young girls on how to achieve in this world.
See, you are a feminist.
And I 100% agree.

My wife would say this to a femnazi "I don't want you messin' with the deal I got" (in my best Jerry Clower voice)

It’s mostly young stupid female millennials being driven by butch far leftwing nuts.

My wife agrees with your wife. Her stance has always been that you have to deal with men like other men do, not demand that men deal with women like other women would.
Posted on 3/9/18 at 6:54 am to Beessnax
My wife would agree minus the pro-life/peo-choice ongoing debate.

Feminist are usually ugly women who get no attention from men, which they desperately want but cannot have, and thus attack men as a security mechanism....as though people will think that it is their choice not to have a man, and not because they can't get one. Just look at a feminist March some time. And no offense to any true feminist who fight because they believe women are somehow treated unfairly. But I'm pretty sure this is the perception most people (including non-feminist women) have.....
